What happens next Well it is easy to predict. The countries which are hit the hardest will see their population migrate to someplace where they can afford. The ones who stay behind will likely demonstrate or riot. The countries receiving the migrators will feel the strain of feeding more people. Their migration systems will be put to the test. Fail to integrate and criminality starts rising. Manage to integrate and criminality starts rising. In the first case, the immigrants do whatever it takes to survive. In the second case the immigrants take the jobs of the people who were there first so tension starts rising. Now they will have a harder time surviving and probably demonstrate. Right wing politics starts to rise (we have already seen this in a lot of places in Europe.
So in short, basic things will be scarce and this puts more people in dangerous situations. People think this is just oil. But anything that needs to be transported will be hit, either directly or indirectly

Once America ceases to exist, this world will be a better place. It is unfortunate that this is what needs to be said. Everyone else seems to be minding their own business. America is like the world bully, kicking nations left and right. There have been other empires throughout hystory that reached for the stars. Rome, Spain, Brittain, the Tatars, Nazi Germany, Japan, exc. Exc. The decadence soon followed along with an un-avoidable social and eco-political implosion. The skeletons remained in some cases, but the empire always fell. A smart nation should look at history and learn from it. America is not a smart nation

Well. Fertilizer is destroying the climate in my country. The ocean is full of plastic and less will force us to recycle more. There are alternatives to that kind of scanning. And it will force more green energy.
It may be a problem now, but maybe in 2-3 years, it will no longer be a problem, because then we will be so far away from oil that we will no longer need it as much as we do now.
In other words, it is possible that this can save the climate.

They dont want it to open, if it opens they would have to/be able to reduce prices which they don't want, they want it closed, the rich doesn't get affected by it at all so they dont even care, even if it did open they would not reduce anything in price, prices was rising even before the straight was closed, proces was rising before the war, the war is an excuse to charge more and the rich wont ever accept anything lower

I don't understand why Americans are panicking, Trump said. quote We don't use the strait, Europe and the world uses it but we don't need it end quote. Besides America has an ocean of oil and a huge reserve, plus they now have Venezuela's oil. so why are you crying You guys started this shit and damned the rest of us to starvation. Great America, my ass.

Every shipment is being moved through saudi arabia by land then back to cargo ships via red sea to avoid delay due to restrictions of strait and, this will take time. The only issue are the destroyed facility that produce the products as repair will really take time so expect price hike on products that require those raw matetials.

it wont be the end of the world but everything will deffinently get alot more expensive. itll go on for a few years but work arounds will be made eventually and obviously the strait wont be closed forever. eventually if they keep refusing to let ships past then a global intervention will happen and they will be wiped out
reply

Ships have been passing through the strait every day since the war started, just not as many as normal. It is NOT closed.
This isn't an issue of it being closed. It is an issue of ship owners not wanting to risk passage through the area without insurance, which the insurance companies won't give for a war zone.

what if america agrees to iran's demands for reparations like. for one, toll booth at the strait all countries will be affected including those at the other choke points of trading paths. I won't be surprised if they impose toll fees as well to cut their loses then all the goods will go high exponentially no

Don’t worry the price of fuel will soon come down, Trump already secure Venezuela oil. I think we should not be letting anybody above 60 years to rule any country all over world because all this leaders who are 79 and above usually make irrational decisions that causes more hardship and chaos to the world.
reply

Never opening means that they will switch ports and use the red sea to ship out oil. But obviously not even close to easy. All logistics have to be replanned because UAE is on the other side from that water. Also that may opening up another set of crap with having to pass between Yamen and Somalia.

A lot of news hidden from people. Several countries including many in Europe have already made deals with Iran to pass through the strait. Does it need to open for everyone not really. Just enough countries that need it will be willing to pay or receive good gesture should they kiss the ring.
reply

This may actually be a good thing for the planet. Humans do tend to come out of troubling situations when they are cheaper, and more renewable sources are getting cheaper than oil. Since electric cars do already exist, the switch will come when people had enough of wandering gas prices.

Trump doesn't care the world is going to shit and neither do his followers. His supporters would gladly walk blindly to their deaths if it means anyone who isn't American suffers to. And if you voted for Trump and regret that decision then you've been played and you're a part of this.
reply

This is what you get from supporting Pres. trump. Those MAGA are now pushing narratives just to save their idol, but in reality due to his action, many countries are starting to suffer already. And worst the poor and middle class people are starting to feel its effect already

Everyone run! The sky is falling, the sky is falling! The world is coming to an end. Hide! How will we ever survive!
Oh yeah, we will do what we’ve always done: Adapt. Sure, it may be rough for a while, but stop with the drama

reply

main question is who starting the war until causing this chaos. should blame who started the war. should ask the country starting this war paid the compensation to whole world that effected. sounds fair right.
reply

Right because everything important to us got through this specific spot, like how they average 0. 01% loss in total initial purchase profit in our oil dependency means everyone pays 35% more to cover for it
reply

My country was personally asked to defend this strait, we could have without much trouble. But instead the divine leader of our country said no to stick it to trump and now we are struggling to survive.
