It also demonstrates how various temperaments of horses can internalize or externalize stress. Conducted a study years ago that showed horse who internalize stress had higher number of ulcers compared to those who displayed and releases their worry. Glad to see this research.

I wouldn't really call that bravery, I think the horses are just aware that if they remain calm they'll probably get rewarded in some way. Horses can be brave, but this isn't an example of it

Best horse I rode was the one who kept on going even though I was screaming and angry at the danger. She kept calm and rode through and led the others behind her.

That's amazing. I didn't realize that horses were capable of internalizing fear like that and that they can actually feel their rider's heart-rate.
