Grizzly bears eat more than salmon. This one is hunting for clams. Sadia: These are the bears that Timothy Treadwell hung out with for 13 summers before one of them ate him and his girlfriend alive in 2003- captured in the documentary Grizzly man. Treadwell did not respect the wild nature of these bears, he thought they were his friends and he had a special connection. Sadly his delusions got someone else killed alongside him. Ketmai Park rangers shot at least 2 bears and found the partially digested remains of both victims in their stomachs.

When you hear something like this animals sense of smell is 4/5/. times stronger than ours you cant really picture it. Well, they can SMELL THE EXACT LOCATION OF CLAMPS UNDER THE SAND. Wow. And that area must be filled with all sorts of smells from the tide and animals, but they can identify and isolate that one from that one clamp. Amazing.

I live on Kodiak Island and I know for a fact from experience that Kodiak bears do not sleep for 7 months in the winter as stated right off the bat in this video. Just sayin

How dare they! Do those bears not look at the clam limit before digging? I bet their way over the limit taking 100 a day
