Squirrels dont remember where they bury all of their nuts, which is how many new trees germinate. Theyre natural tree planters, completely inadvertently! There are also red squirrels in the US, for sure in far northern Minnesota and bordering Canada, as Ive seen and fed them in the Superior National Forest and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Theyre also smaller than the grey squirrels, but my favorites are black squirrels, which I used to see once in a great while in my hometown of Superior, Wisconsin.

we dont have squirrels of any colour in australia. im so jelly! (i enjoyed this film but found it frustrating that it was kinda blurry. i get thats cos its meant to be viewed with VR goggles or whatever, but geez id like to have seen this filmed in an old fashioned way, just so i could clearly see the cute lil critters in close up)

VR videos are quite cool, but I think this would work even better if VR filmed herds or groups of animals that walk around or near the camera, because then that way people can rotate their phones to follow some of the animals around. Penguins or buffalo filmed in VR could be interesting!

The vr view is cool and all, but I prefer the beautiful footage u guys usually capture. This is quite annoying having to hold my phone in certain angles and can't even zoom in to see the squirrel properly.

I actually had never seen a grey squirrel until I went to visit my cousins in new Hampshire. I live in Iowa and from what I can tell we have exclusively red squirrels. I wonder why.

I wonder who looked at that squirrel and decided to call it a red squirrel when it's clearly a brown color. Where's Grade A Under A when you need him.

Is this a way to tell people not to eat squirrel. A news article just came out saying the uk need to eat squirrels to keep the population down.
reply

They only remember about 40% of the nuts they burry the rest they sniff out or steal from other squirrels. I heard anyhoo!

I think this is VERY cool, kudos to you guys for trying something new and different! Looking forward to seeing it develop!
