If you pay attention and look closely, you'll notice Cage's bit part (as Nicholas Coppola) in -Fast Times at Ridgemont High. - He's one of the guys standing at the grill looking on while Judge Reinhold and the customer go at it at the front counter. the customer's trying to get a refund, Judge tells the guy he'll kick -100% of his ass, - and Dennis Taylor (his boss) fires him on the spot.

He's an actor, just like the rest. He is not special, smarter or more intelligent than anyone else, but had a talent that caught hollywoods attention that could make them money. Please stop putting these people on pedistals like they are so much better than everyone else. They are actors, which means they live their life in a fantasy world and get paid well to continue that!

I mean, he has a cult following at this point. He gets work consistently-- it's usually just not great roles but sometimes? He does pretty good. Never boring to watch regardless. He's doing OK compared to what happens to a lot of Hollywood stars that crash and burn-- many never make any forward momentum again.

I have followed Nicholas Cage's career and although he is not a leading man, he is extremely versatile as an actor. Some of my favorite films are Face Off, The Family Man, and Lord of War. All very different films, but all very well acted by Cage and believable. I wish him and his come-back well.

The first movie i had seen him in was face off. Even though i was way too young to understand it back then, I rewatched it several times of the past 20 years. Still my all time favorite Nic Cage movie. I don't care what anyone says: He is the best actor to have ever walked this planet.

Valley girl was one of my favorite films, at the time I was 16 and could identify with that film like it was my own life. I absolutely loved it, I cant believe he only got 5 grand for doing it.
