By the way when an animal loses traits (genetic information) over time and is there becomes variety in the family, that is called natural selection. Ex. Like there was only one type of finch, then over generations we get domestic finches, goldfinches, zebra finches, and Darwin's finches. Saw the traits from one type of Finch are now spread out into different types of finches.
Gathering information over time, and becoming something completely different than what you were originally (ex. A horse becoming a whale over generations and generations) it's called evolution. Which I should point out that there is no scientific proof of evolution.

Yeah let's forget about Al Jahiz who wrote a seven volume book called on Animals and just mention Aristotle and Linnaeus, and then we wonder why racism is still a thing. I don't blame racists, I blame educators who keep focusing on western world, Al Jahiz by the way was the first to write about natural selection and the struggle if life, I hope the series mentions him in one episode at least.

Well if there's life on other planets then they wouldn't be classified as Plants, Animals, Bacteria, Etc the Flora and Fauna will have a separate evolutionary taxonomy from earth sence none of the life on that planet are even related to any living thing on earth likewise on other planets and so on and so forth

I'm very much excited for this. I had to drop Zoology in order to choose Psychology. In Psychology, I always try to relate the methods, theories and studies with the aninal world. In this video too, I found one part where I could connect both of them. Thanks.

Oh my God, this is probably the most complicated amongst all first videos of Crash Course' various series. Still, she's explaining really well. I really love animals and the subject of zoology as a whole so I'm looking forward to this series.

i wouldn't be surprised that feathers are evolved from scales in the colder area's for warmth. while the warmer parts kept their scales.
