Have you ever wondered why the gas station has -unleaded fuel- but there isn-t a -leaded- option? The answer has to do with a chemical called tetraethyl lead, which is an organometallic compound, or an organic compound with a carbon-metal bond. In this episode of Crash Course Organic Chemistry, we-ll learn all about organometallic compounds, including what they are and what kind of reactions we see them in. But beware! This class of compounds may be super useful, but also has a dark side. Episode

I wonder if this polarized bond (MG+ C-) could be exploited on a semiconductor to control the flow of photons via the directional nature of the electrons. this setup has similarities to a diode that I see. at a quantum level photons are transmitted via the electrons.

I actually didn't realize it was so recent that lead was fully phased out of auto fuel. I thought it was 1973, but maybe that's just when unleaded began to be sold.

and thissss is why I went into biostatistics from a degree in chem. aint got time for chemicals that will knock you out while also catching you on fire.

On paper: my chemistry skills are weak, but IRL my mixing, application & adjustment skills are second to none.
DAMN YOU ADHD! lol
