In fact Link from ocarina of time don't stay, the adult timeline only show us the future of the eorld that Link (hero of time) saved after Link was gone, and the child follow Link that dies after majoras mask. This was little missconcepion that a lot of peiple have.

Actually I think the Adult era is when there is no Link to be in that timeline, since Zelda sent him to the past. So the adult era is basically the present of the end of OOT, where Link is gone. And the child era is the timeline which Link is set back in.

It would be a better comparison if you said -Besides their hair color they look almost exactly the same. They both live with children who never grow up. They fight with their own shadows. And they both have fairy companions. -

Actually to correct you. In the adult timeline link didn-t stay behind. After he got sent back there was no hero in that timeline until the hero of wind was born. That-s what caused the great flood thus giving us the events of wind waker

Link does have parents. In ocarina of time, his mother brought him to the lost woods and entrusted him to the great deku tree before she died. And in breath of the wild, Zelda mentions that links father was a member of the royal guard.

I-m current time(2022, super Mario is having a movie and I haven-t seen anyone talk about possible other video game movies like donkey kong, Kirby, and other games. A Zelda movie may be possible in the future.

I think they changed the title from Hyrule Fantasy to The Legend of Zelda as a marketing strategy as they didn't think a title like that would draw people's attention in the west.
