Jurassic Park Saga: All Dinosaurs. size comparison

FBTwitterReddit

video description

Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
Compilation of all the prehistoric animals featured in the Jurassic Park/World movies. Each dinosaur's movie design is compared to its prehistoric counterpart. Those that don't have a direct descent, such as the dinosaur hybrids, are compared to a similar real-life alternative. Keep in mind that some stats are rounded and the sources are not always consistent, having some degree of variation. More detailed analysis of each movie at this 6 part series

I have written a pair of dinosaur books on amazon that are part of an ongoing series called The Kaligen Experiment. It also is a scary horror-driven story about dinosaurs. Here is the synopsis:
-Dr. Edgar Crews was a young autistic prodigy who wanted to change the world. He gets his chance when he participates in the most ambitious and elaborate ecological experiment in the history of mankind. Edgar's contribution results in the creation of a new breed of dinosaurs unlike any the planet has ever seen. For a decade, the experiment goes swimmingly until it is sabotaged by a group of extremists. Now, Edgar and his research team must escape from the very primeval ecosystem they created. Along the way, they encounter evolutionary mutations no one has ever dreamed of. Follow a band of survivors as they endure the hike from hell! -

Honestly I like the designs of the Jurassic Park Dinosaurs more than the scientifically accurate ones because they're not held back by trying to be accurate no they're making their own unique designs which I commend the designers for to this day and I love that some new games and the new movie 65 are doing their own takes on the Dinosaurs.

disappointed that you gave the rex feathers. its not really even speculative anymore, as it probably didnt have any sort of coating judging how useless it would be, as they where too large and could have overheated easily. you probably know this though.

The JP dinos are so ridiculously tacky and anatomically incorrect that it shakes my head in disgust. These aren't dinosaurs but more like something that belongs in a J. R. Tolkien film! So cartoonish and lame.
Not so scary at all. -

Although Dominion was shitty salt some points, they are definetly keeping the franchise going, even though Dominion was bad they still made millions. Also, camp Cretaceous has more Dino-s as well.

What about
Iguanodon
Tarbosaurus
Ouranosaurus
Monolophosaurus
Suchomimus
Kentrosaurus
Nothosaurus
Smilodon
And all the other dinosaurs you missed

Just imagine the jp raptor feeding scene with actual sized animals and comments like 'they are so small' and then seeing them shredding that unfortunate cow -

you should make an avatar ( not the anime the movie from James Cameron) size comparison of all the creatures you could do. keep up the good work! -

I love how the mososaurus from the Jurassic World franchise is so inaccurately gigantic, you can literally call it a bloop sized sea monster
reply

Buenisima la comparacion y el hecho de que te tomes libertades como poner un Megaraptor para compararlo con el Indoraptor lo hace aun mas interesante

Dinossaurs in real life are basically big ass cursed bird lizards, some still looks cool, but the extinct animals still hold it's badass look over them

3: 43 The pterosaur in the movie is a Pteranodon longiceps not a Geosternbergia (which at the time was known as Pteranodon sternbergi.

Seems JP actually does really well keeping their sizes accurate compared to other franchises, even though some are too big or small

reply

lol every dinosaur size are around the ballpark except MOSASAURUS. That thing went from 17m to 50m in the movie.
reply

I personally dont care if its a bit inaccurate or not, as long as it isnt a monster, its still a dinosaur to me.
reply

I wonder why the Jurassic World movies didn-t redesign the dinosaurs to better fit the current science
reply

You should make a book on dinosaurs like to see it I'm talking every dinosaurs from Smithsonian books okay

Jurassic Park Franchise: The more iconic dinosaur look
Real life: Scientifically accurate look

reply

Fun Fact: In the original concepts of TLW the Pteranadon was originally a Geosternbergia.
