I'll just check again, for verification, the -DEVONIAN PERIOD. Animals size comparison and data. Paleoart- video to see the changes about Dunleostus tou did.
And yet, if you really made him smaller and shrunken than the previous version this the latter video, the version we have here is a little too big. In real life, Dunkleosteus was more the size of an average extant Great White Shark.
Still, Dunkleosteus remain an apex predator like the latter.
About the size of the version in this video, the version shown here can however depict a very large specimen, so not an average, since the 2023 study argued that large estimated sizes of D. terrelli were overestimates, and alternatively proposed a maximum length of 4. 1 metres (13. 5 ft) for the largest known specimen (CMNH 5936.
Also, unrelated, put it's important to point out that study cover mostly, if only, as far I kow, D. terrelli, and not the others species sizes.
It's case to follow for them.

Wait a minute, wasn't Sarcoptherigii the group that land vertebrates are part of? Yes! We are Sarcoptherigii, so it is technically erroneous to place all marine vertebrates with developed gills of fish, is one of the generic and colloquial classification, if all these vertebrates are -fish- the Chondrichites, the Placodermi, the Sarchopterigii etc, if it were to give biological meaning to this, basically all vertebrates would be Fish, with a capital P in our writing, which would represent a phylogenetic group. So we're kind of Pisces hahahahah

I audibly gasped when I saw this in my feed. I love all the new fish, Onchopristis, Listracanthus, Ornithoprion, Edenopteron, and especially Stratodus, as it's one of my favorite prehistoric fish. Keep up the amazing work, man!

One of your most accurate videos
Plus thank you for informing me about this fish 0: 25 because as a Lebanese I've never heard about this at all which is sad due to how beautiful it is
Thank you

The world of prehistoric fish is so rarely presenter in depth.
Its so fascinating seeing all the alien looking armoured fish of the devonian and carboniferous besides almost familiar looking ones

Imagine being a creature in prehistoric times thinking your worthless, only to be discovered millions of years later and being on auction for more than a million dollars

2: 38 proof, that, though dunkleosteus was smaller than initially thought, is still big in comparison to human and was still a predator to be reckoned with

Who else remembers the good ol' days when we all thought that Dunkleosteus was a megalodon of the paleozoic and the largest paleozoic animal of all time
reply

Props to this guy standing infront of a green screen while pretending to swim underwater just for us to really appreciate how big these fish are

Great video! And I'm impressed you're already on the new size estimate for Dunckleosteus. (I'm bummed about his size downgrade, BTW): (

Great video, also aside from new species shown, I really like how you updated Dunkleosteus' size in reference to that paper.
