I wanted to work here. I realize now that Silicon Valley, and probably surrounding areas and companies, are a cess pool. Rather work at nChain. Still have open minded people. I would redo operating systems completely from scratch, without using compilers at all. I had the vision Steve Jobs had, in some sense, but I think humans are so set in their ways that it would just be easier if the company grew old and died like its founders. I should just start my own.

Drive from home to a parking lot, spend a half hour walking from your car to the building. Walk another half hour to your crappy shared desk without any privacy and slim chances of effectively communicating and then work on your laptop. Ya. You do that. I'll be remote working.

They also tried to buy the apartment complex at the bottom left hand corner for the land (they would have demolished the buildings. It is owned by the Irvine Company and they refused to sell it even though huge dollar figures were thrown around.

I wonder if apple designed the building such that if the building experiences as much as a drippy faucet, the entire building must be thrown away thus forcing them to buy a completely new one.
