I hope you all realize that it is mentioned in The Encyclopedia Britannica that there were only 25, 000 Catholics in 1776 out of a population of 4, 500, 000 people. However, The Pew Research Center's researcher' articles range from 5% to just over 20% who were Catholic in 1776. Do you know why that is?
