An army from England totaling roughly 5000 men landed in Calais and marches towards Reims. France prepares to meet them in an epic cinematic battle during the 100 years war. Using Attila Total War 1212 AD mod, I am trying to recreate the clashes of heavy knights and longbowmen. This period always fascinated me, and although wars were fought on a smaller scale compared to other times in history, European knights always made these battles look so awesome. England had their famous longbowmen and France was rocking amazing heavy cavalry. You should encourage the modders who make these types of mods possible, so please go ahead and try them for yourself if you can. Otherwise, I am proud to show the amazing work the modders of 1212 AD have put together. This battle does not follow historical accuracy and was only made for your enjoyment

This battle feels so wrong:
- They don't get dirty in mud.
- Sometimes all soldiers in the unit move at same time with perfect synchronization, because the individualism per soldier is gone to save processing capacity. That should be ok, but it feels too much like playing a machine instead of soldiers.
- In the fights from horse you only see the result without feedback about melee attack/defense.
- Vallet dancer death animation.
- Weak attacks death animations. Weakly poking the center of the enemy's shield with the tip of the weapon. All immersion gone.
- Unrealistic attack animations when they pull the shield back to attack, exposing the chest to the enemy. I wish they had an advise from someone who knows something about realistic combat.
- There's no secondary weapon stats available.
- Bad graphics optimization that burns CPUs, low FPS and consumes doble electric energy to the point I noticed in electricity invoice at the end of the month.
I could go on.
I'm so glad I discovered how much better is M2TW compared to Attila. But so sad to see in this mod so much effort going in the wrong direction.

I'm really impressed that they have one man pushing those big heavy cannons! I'm also impressed how these cannons can shoot through their own lines and no one gets hurt! I couldn't see the report because the screens for other videos covered up the report.

how have you done it that the camera is fix behind some man and follow them like at 1: 49 is that a camera mod or is it in attila by default by the way, amazing video!

It's quite difficult to recognize where English or French is. What is the issue with weels, they are not rotating

The rivalry between French and English were by far the best in medieval europe.

It must be the only battle in their history that they won loyally, without treachery.
