What are the common things we tend to fear the most? Are they tangible objects like blood, snakes or spiders? Or something less tangible? You would think the transition from childhood into adulthood would make all fears disappear. But, even in adulthood fears tend to surface. It is no more than illusions of reality and childhood trauma. We're not saying everyone had a terrible childhood or are out of touch with reality. Everyone carries emotions for things that would better us if we simply let go. Its hard to conclude letting go if you arent even aware of what youre holding on to. So, here are 7 Common Things We Tend To Fear

I don't have specifically a fear of being unheard, but I had some situations like that in school and family. I wanted to tell them something, but they didn't listen. The things I wanted to say were important for both of us or just for me, like an opinion or I wanted to tell them something great happened. In both cases, I gave up easliy. They didn't show any attention towards me, even after a second and third try. I don't know why they didn't listen. They always lsitened to someone who started talking after me. I was on the other side too, were I automatically began to talk after someone talked to the person i wanted to talk to. I always let the other one first and sometimes they let me first, because my topic is much shorter than theirs. But if I wanted to tell them something vety important and they don't listen to me at all, I usually let them walk right in their problems. I don't care anymore, if they don't know the one important thing. I know it sounds mean, but why should I waste my time longer, if they not gonna listen to me? They don't care what I have to say, so why should I care about them in this case? I learned this lesson a lot in my life. It sounds mean, I know, but what should I do, if they not listen to me? It's not my problem, I don't have to follow them everywhere around just to tell them something. They wouldn't do this for me neither.
But I'm always afraid in school, if the teacher says that everyone should search for a project parnter. In my school, we mostly work with the student who sits beside us, because friends or if we just like each other sit together. I'm always so afraid that the one or both of the others who sit beside me don't want to work with me. They always work with the same person or with someone they really like, so it isn't just to avoid me. but I feel avoided sometimes. I don't mind working alone, but it feels bad. It's like if we are at gym class and you're the last one who get choosed. You don't feel appreciated or liked. They threat you nicely and include you during class or recess. But in these cases, where the most liked ones get chosen and you get left out. it hurts. This isn't always the case for me, but if it happens, it's painful.

When the video got to number four, fear of being forgotten, it reminded of a friend of mine who had that fear. They ended up getting a heart disease, & died over the summer. I talked to him before he died about how long he had left & things like that, & that's when he told me about his fear of being forgotten. The main thing that made me remember him though, was the fact that his fear sort of came true. He had a twin brother, who started coming to our school the next year & he sort of. Replaced him. At first his twin tried explaining that they were twins & he died over the summer, but he didn't really tell anyone about his heart condition before he died, he told me & my friend, but she forgets things kinda easily & I don't think she remembered him telling her about his heart condition, so no one really believed that he was actually dead, & his twin actually ended up replacing him. So his fear actually came true, & thinking about all this now, I can't help but think of how sad it is, that his biggest fear (of being forgotten) actually came true.

1 Fear of abandonment.
I do not fear what has happened.

2 Fear of change.
No. I do not fear change at all. It is how the prejudice of heightism has noticeably gotten ever since dating applications that is awful and there is a fear it will get worse. Whats next? An open call to have short men killed off (well, we die by 1000 cuts, so why not)
+++
3 Fear of loss.
You do not fear what you have never had.
+++
4 Fear of being forgotten.
One has to count first. Im not so much forgotten as I am invisible.
+++
5 Fear of feeling unheard.
No fear of what happens every day.
+++
6 Fear of feeling unloved.
I am unloved. I do not fear it. I hate it.
+++
7 Fear of being excluded.
I am excluded for something I cannot change (being told, you must be this tall to ask me out is really being excluded. People may fear that, I live it.

I hate being the center of attention, I hate being the talk of the day. I hate being laughed at, I hate when people stare at me. It makes me feel uneasy, and like a deer in headlights. I like spending time to myself 90% of the time. Most days, Im to myself, but ok few occasions do I pop up and want to play outside or play games in the backyard. I like being in. I like being out, but not as much as I like being in. I cant take compliments, its weird to me. Dont stare either, it makes me feel self conscious.
I sound so dumb rn lol

yeah spiders and sharks scare me. But my worst fear is losing my family. Like in someone kidnapped or killed them or just that I come home and the cops tell me one of my family has died in an accident or something. Whenever I think about this fear I can feel my eyes watering, my heart pounding, I'm getting angry and sad. But the worst part about my fear is that I sometimes dream about it. And I wake up crying because in my dreams I can do nothing about it. I felt like I just wanted to share this. Thank you for reading

I categorise fears in 3 categories.
1) Material fears, which are perceivable objects and concepts which are scary, e. g. the dark and snakes.
2) Social fears, which a lot of these seem to be, especially the likes of abandonment and loss.
3) Existential fears, which are intrinsic to yourself and your reality, like uselessness and death.
For me, the only major fear I have is uselessness. I'm terrified of situations where my thoughts, words, and actions have little to no impact.

I tend to fear death itself knowing that their are different religions all around the world so it's hard know what happens. when you die and if you did something like murder because your parents abused you if you would get a punishment or you would go to like an unknown because it wasn't your fault you murdered for a reason. But mostly I fear cuz you never know if your a haunted ghost or gonna be in a new or after life. ._.

I don't fear being forgotten. My fear is that death will hurt. I'm not fearful of death, itself.
I have been excluded from things my friends are doing since I was a kid. I wish I knew why because, as an adult, I could change if it is some negative trait I have. I'd ask someone why, but I doubt I'd get an honest answer. It's something I've always wanted to know.

So I have the fears of abandonment, forgotten, and unloved. I'm not sure what happened to make me developed this fears. I guess it has to do with when my parents divorced when we (my siblings and I) were really young. I started going to therapy and talking with a therapist at a young age due this reason and another reason dealing with my brother.
reply

Fear of friends being fake. I suffer from this because I have heard and seen things that my friends have said or wrote which makes me unsure about our friendship, even from one of my closest friends. But I dont tell anyone this because I dont want to hurt anyone by not believing their friendship.

i have experienced ALL of these many times and I am happy to report one can overcome the self imposed debility we think it will cause. these are all the price of life, really and how we PERCEIVE them will make all the difference. you are stronger than you think you know!

I'm currently writing a paper about my fear of crowds, how it affects me, and ways to overcome it. My professor says that it's a phobia and not a fear. I came to this video for clarification because I have no idea what the difference is.

U forgot
Fear of being different alone
Sometimes when im at school and if i dont remember schook uniform and wear different uniform, i would get scared to go to school when i already see 1 student wearing different uniform

reply

If you have a fear of abandonment, of being forgotten, unheard, unloved, excluded, and you dare frankly talking about it to find solutions, you automatically are seen as an attention seeker.
2020 society logic.

how about fear of failing? i often feel scared to start a new hobby or to learn something new because i don't want to find out that i am bad at it/ fail doing it. Is it a common fear or is it a phobia?
reply

At one pint I was emotionally abandoned when I needed them the most. Twice.
I forgave them but I still havent forgotten because it hurts that I trusted them and they didnt deliver.

I have tons of fears and phobias but the most I try to avoid is fear of loss. I've lost 2 pets in my life. I sadly cope in a negative way.
