Regarding the last sentence, I had a total knee replacement, which was unavoidable: ) This is another entertaining and informative Ted Ed gem. I only wish I had seen it sooner. It helps me visualize what is going on inside my knee, and why I need to do my exercises and massage it regularly to break up the adhesions.

I have a scar under my lip from a car accident when I was 16, I was a passenger the driver was intoxicated and I had no seatbelt on. I got thrown forward and smashed my face off the dashboard, blood was everywhere it was really messy.

I was in the army a few years back when i got in a knife fight with a iraqi soldier and he slashed my face but my friend shot him but they had too staple it and not stich and that just sent my head west

I self harmed almost my whole life. My arms look like they were attacked by a tiger. I can never wear short sleeves because the scaring is so horrible even ten year old scars still are so bad: (

What's different about animals with regeneration like newts and salamander that do NOT form scars when the skin is injured? Also, the liver wasn't mentioned when can regenerate.

I have a burn scar in my wrist from that one time i accidentally hit my hand against a super hot cookie pan, fresh out of the oven. its been almost 10 years, shshhsjsjsjs

I have scars across my kneecaps that hurt when I kneel and are annoyingly sensitive. Any scientific ideas on how to get rid of them?
