Sooooo. are acids already solutions with water to begin with? Does pouring strong acid in a bit of water convert that water into acid? What happens with all them protons in the water? Is it now a solution of hydronium? And what about the bases? If it strips off H+, then it's no longer water right? Soooo. where does the liquid go>? So confused right now: /

2: 10 weak acid falls over
me: awwwwww poor acid
1: 57 strong base rips proton from water
me: So rude!
1: 47 strong acid dumps proton into water
me: so aggressive! Rude!

This was getting in my nerves. Protons can't be lost or gained! I repeat a proton does not move from its atom. Only electrons are lost and gained. How tf did Ted get this wrong.

Ha from acid and bases to chemical bonding and again to acids and bases. .. The video is not so good as of chemical equilibrium not a satisfied video. U have to try better

I was watching your video and I noticed an error. Atoms do not share protons to make a compound only electrons are shared or gained or lost to make an compound

So if an atom gives up a proton, doesnt that change it all together? Like if an He atom gives up a hydrogen ion, wouldnt that make it a H- atom?

Although I'm here because my teacher sent me to learn and not gawk over the pictures, I must say, the animation is so cuteee
reply

Is a base the American word for alkaline? Because the way you described a base sounds a lot like how you describe an alkaline
