First, many so-called contraceptives prevent implantation in the event they fail to prevent fertilization, making them in fact abortifacients. More abortions have occurred this way than through more widely known methods. Now, if you're okay with abortion, then you won't care about this, but I thought you should know about it just in case.

I've been on the pill for 4 and a half years now and it's worked well for me. I've had a couple of scares where my period was 3 days late but my pregnancy tests turned out negative each time (2 times) I know to take them every day and am always on top of them. Such a medical miracle

An informative topic. However, the options should be more physical than chemical since chemicals might alter some functions permanently.

Vasectomy and tubal ligation are also a form of surgical contraception just they are doing permanent alteration to the human body.
