History's deadliest king - by Georges Nzongola-Ntalaja

Dig into the Rubber Terror, the period in which King Leopold II s horrific regime in the Congo resulted in the deaths of 10 million people. In 1904, Chief Lontulu laid 110 twigs in front of a foreign commission. Every twig represented a person in his village who died because of King Leopold s brutal regime in the Congo. His testimony joined hundreds of others to help bring an end to one of the greatest atrocities in human history. Georges Nzongola-Ntalaja details the horrific abuses of Leopold s occupation and looting of the Congo. Max: This is told so wrong, the actual history and atrocities of king leopold are worse. And this video gets some key facts wrong. What happenned was worse, but does not fit the bad white man narrative of today. And although your message is good, you should never let your politics influence historical facts.

In the past few weeks, I have realised one thing: The more I learn History, the more I get hurt. Reading texts, watching animations like these really depicts the brutal and inhumane regime of the so-called intellectuals, aristocrats, and modern humans. Not just in Africa, but also in Asia and all around the globe men were deceived, cheated, conquered, looted, supressed, and persecuted for the crime of resisting modern civilization and (one-sided) co-ordinated development. And the most ironical thing is that even after a hundred years, these are the same men who dictate how the world runs. Period.

History repeats itself. West got the opportunity to lead the world this time but miserably failed because of greed, oppression, injustice and xenocentrism. Before this Islam was dominant but the general image created was of a golden age whereever it ruled. I believe time is near when Christian powers will again be submissive and dominant power will be the one who is against greed, oppression and injustice.

When you know the history only then you realize how absurd the you were not enslaved rhetoric is. It's sickening to see how great monuments and achievements were paid for by the blood of innocent people. This is not just a history but an ongoing process that's incessant to this very day in many African countries, the middle-east, and etc only being swept under the carpet and done via proxy.

Despite agreeing with the facts that Belgians used brutal methods on Congolese people, what I totally disagree with Ted is how you use current pictures, where national historic monuments are sprayed and vandalised by BLM activists. This message is wrong amd should not be transmitted to wide public, as it will be a sign of Ted serving as a far-left propaganda tool.

It's important to notice that Leopold also convinced the other European leaders to grant him the Congo because of his NGO, ment to educate and develop the basin tribes, that were already operating in the region. Soon after, the NGO became quite the opposite of a NGO, focused mainly on getting ivory.

History is filled with majorly European nations exploiting resource-rich countries. It's difficult to imagine a time when such atrocities were committed against whole countries and races.
Maybe if they had left us alone we would've been a developed nation sooner.

The system that was created by wealthy men through atrocities of others, and the greed of wanting more and more, has led us to climate change, global warming, pandemic and coming years will only bring greater suffering
