4: 50 When I was a kid in 1965, televisions were literally furniture. Big TV screens were only 25 because the resolution was so bad. Most desktop computer monitors are bigger than that today.

The photo of salesman selling a TV in 1965 was personal to me as I worked after school and on Saturdays in a TV sales and repair shop. My father was a TV repairman and I helped in the shop cleaning, helping to carry the heavy console TVs, stocking tubes, etc. When there was nothing to do I would wonder upstairs to watch the salesmen selling TVs--the years was 1963 to 1967.

I take pride in the fact that as a teenager in the 1970's I never once complained about girls going braless. Or for that matter wearing skin tight jeans.

5: 48 The paintings on the ships were called 'Dazzle painting'. It was to confuse U-Boats; direction and speed were very hard to determine with this.
