As a programmer I am surprised by the amount of people that have this misconception that an AI is actually a thinking being. It is impossible. AI like you see in the movies, is movies. Let me explain shortly: An Artificial Intelligence can only learn what you program it to learn. So unless the programmer gave an AI the ability to learn to become evil and turn on humanity it can actually never happen.

Considering the size of the cosmos I believe that it is more than possible that AI created us, that we are a project of AI from another part of the universe. -Our father in heaven- could well have it's origins with AI creation somewhere in t he deep universe. As an aspiring AI ML engineer, I can tell you that Artificial Super Intelligence is still a theoretical concept and may take a few decades or even hundreds of years to be implemented in real! But whenever it happens, the world has to be ready to face the consequences.
