I'm glad a video that directly approach the topic exist. To start there would be no fiction, no stories or songs, since they depend on our ability connect and project ourselves in a certain situation, can you imagine a world without it? Learning by imitation is one of the oldest forms of learning and this also would be impaired. Empathy is many times a knee-jerk reaction and lives on the unconscious, so can pull our strings indirectly.
With no empathy we would incredibly isolated and would be hard to make personal sacrifices to help the whole so you can get more in return. Everyone who tried to convince someone to do something but failed know that.
We would have a serious problem with r-pe and murder, since lust and violence are two of our strongest emotions that completely intoxicate the brain, without compassion would have nothing holding us back. Would be a bad world especially for kids and women. We don't need to keep imagining what would happen, just look at history, slavery in brazil (brutest place in the would, mines in spain at a close period, Inquisition.
With would be worse than any of these, and would be hard to create a proper social, economical and technological system if everyone only care about their own gains and are short sighted. Imagine a police without empathy? It wouldn't be good.

Your joking, yes there are individuals born without empathy. They are called psychopaths, never met one who showed empathy. Even sociopaths are borderline lacking empathy, only caring for another when they can benefit from it. None of these individuals are altruistic with their actions or behavior. I have worked as a Corrections Officer and Social Worker and have met many. It-s surprising how many are in positions of power.

I was diagnosed with very little empathy caused by abuse I suffered in my childhood. When someone cries I don't feel sad for them. When there's death, I don't feel pain. However I do understand their emotions. You just feel careless. There's no feeling there. Hope that helps lol

I see nothing different from what's going on now a days compared to your what if video, a LOT of people now a days do all of that, just in petty ways and are complete conformist just to paint a image of not tryna be seen, from the slick stuff they are really up to.

People are already born with out empathy as according to my research people get plenty of food to eat in 1st world countries where as there is nothing to eat in 3rd world countries due to in-equality and selfishness also at government level

I think some animals do have empathy, because they can sense when something is wrong with you are if you are upset. Like if you have a pet dog and you are sad they will sometimes lick you because they know something is wrong.
