What If Megalodon Sharks Never Went Extinct?

Would you ever venture into the ocean if you knew this creature could be lurking beneath you? It's twice the size of a T. rex, its jaws are big enough to crush cars, and it can swallow multiple humans at a time! This ancient beast is called a megalodon shark, and if it had never become extinct, it would have a surprisingly large impact on our lives. How would they change the way we use our oceans?

I had a dream just now where I was on a boat in a HUGE lake on a VERY tropical island, covered in pink flowers and draping vines and vegetation. The colour palette was pink from the flowers and turquoise from the water and reflection on the plants. There was a woman wearing a white ankle length slip with bright Auburn hair reclining on a floating day bed in the ocean looking up at the stars. Beneighth her you could see massive sting ray, schools of fish and lurking deep deep deep down a gargantuan black hole with rows of huge teeth the size of a can of coke. As the hole got closer; it was followed by a big beady eye. All aboard the boat screamed for the woman in white to get in the boat, and as she did; out from the water lunges this ENORMOUS shark, taking a chomp out of the wooden ship capsizing it; leaving all aboard thrashing around in the water trying to stay alive. Then I saw it; as I sank since I cant swim, the lagoon was Full of these sharks.

Megaladon that we know no longer exists. It is very likely they evolved in order to adapt to changing conditions. Species are known to evolve under the influence of an apex predator. It's not unthinkable that an apex predator wouldn't evolve to survive changing conditions. A shortage in food could have influenced it to decrease in size so that it would not need to consume so much to survive. They could have adapted to cooler temperatures or even obtained the ability to regulate body temperature so it could spend limited periods of time in a cooler environment. There has been reasonable evidence supporting the existence of some abnormally sharks. A megaladon? Perhaps not, maybe a distant cousin to the megaladon is a more likely possibility.

Simple answer, If Megaladon was still around today I bet Orcas will would love to hunt them down for their liver delicacy
FIY:
Megaladons average size is 15-18 meters
Orcas average size is 7-9 meters
And Remember Orca will come in a group of 10-20 members, meaning Megaladons won't survive in the present Ecosystem. . Case closed

having a predator in the deep seas strong enough to humble humans wouldn-t be a bad thing
fishers specifically do more harm than good, and take way more from the ocean than needed. now we have sea animals stuck in fishing lines and nets every day and endangered whales, sharks, and seaturtles etc.

5% of the Ocean discovered- Nope can-t be a Meglodon
That Titanic sub that went missing was 21- long shaped like a whale. And it disappeared without a trace. I believe there is far much more in the waters then we think.

-Megalodons were warm water mammals- I-m just going to pretend I didn-t hear that and continue with the video-
Edit- Okay, you said it again at the end. Just to clarify, Megalodons, and all other sharks, are FISH.

Just Think a Megalodon evolved Just like Humans And They Became Hybrids Living in The Deep Oceans where they made their Civilizations and One Day they Think That it's Time To Rule The land-- It will be One hell of A War

Don't worry everyone! If Megalodon didn't go extinct, they still wouldn't look like they did 3. 6 Million years ago. To adapt to the changing ocean, they would've had to evolve to be much smaller in order to survive.
reply

A lot of scientists thinks that it is not extinct
They have been finding new animals with the size of the teeth of the megladon and new floilis, the newest one is ten years ago

reply

They never exist lol. If they did they would still be here. Nothing to take them out. Turtle-s are still here. Crocs are still here. Great whites are still here.
reply

I'm not convinced they are extinct! We've only discovered 5% of the ocean. I will tell you I would never want to have an interaction with one thats for sure!
reply

Cool video and I agree that these mega sharks went extinct. However, at around 1: 51 you called them -mammals. - Just a bite-sized observation, lol -
reply

why do we always blame ourselves for species going extinct when 16 million years ago the same shit was happening? or were we over fishing back then too?
reply

At this point in history, I don-t think anyone should take a scientist that says -no chance- -absolutely certain- or -we would know- seriously.
reply

That depends on one's definition of a megalodon. Is it some over sized giant fish or is it as thecname implies a fish with very big teeth?
reply

Just sayin maybe megs acted docile and only ate what there used to. Same shit as today we'd still be killing them for no reason.
reply

Sharks are not mammals. Repeatedly calling these things mammals makes it sound like you have no idea what you are talking about
reply

Ci avrebbero pensato le orche a mangiarseli tranquilli umani. le orche sono i migliori e pii temibili predatori del mare
reply

I am pretty sure if they come back we will just hunt them and kill them i mean aren't that what we do to a threat
reply

1: 55 Did the narrator really just call the megalodon a warm water mammal? Umm, no. Megalodons we-re not mammals!
reply

And also I wouldn't even dare put a boat out on the water if it was so- creature of that size you would know-
