-Earth might have to rotate faster to keep that shape- Earth would be that shape BECAUSE of rotating really fast! Actually when I read the title of this video, I assumed that's where you were going with it, because unlike a cube or pancake Earth, an _oval_ shaped planet is. so reasonable, they already exist! Say hello to Haumea, the -bean world- (dwarf planet) in our own solar system. Also look up Regulus, the squished star. I guess tidal forces might do that as well? but that's totally not where my brain first went. :P

C Jacobi showed in 1840 showed that at spin rate, stable planet is ellipsoid with THREE UNEQUAL Axes.
This is Not football, which has two equal axes.
Dwarf planet Haumeamea is a Jacobi ellipsoid.

Please find a better HABITABLE shape and notify us. During the endless journey of What If videos, I have never found a better shape for earth. And it was habitually UnINHABITABLE.
