What If We Built a Road Around the World?

Imagine an ultimate road trip across the globe. On a highway along the equator. Wait, there is no highway along the equator. yet. So how about we build one? What would it take to construct the longest road on Earth? How long would you spend behind the wheel to complete this epic journey? And why would building this highway upset environmentalists?

Of course an imagining, If it had no speed limit, it'd be perfect for top speed runs and overall cruising; put some T-Square on and enjoy the ride.
To make a superspeedway like this safe, you'd need at least eight lanes, four for each direction of traffic, a pair for slower traffic (Below 200 km/h) and another for faster traffic (Above 200 km/h. Standard overtaking procedure should be applied, and thus only needing two lanes for both types of traffic. Of course, I've never been to the equator, so I can't say for certain if fog or any sort of weather issues are there.
Although a small issue in the grand scheme of things, the equator's heat would certainly lead to mechanical issues rather quickly, yes even for electric cars, so instead of a superspeedway around the equator, it should probably go along the tropics, the Norther or Souther the better.

If they really did this it would indeed be impossible to do or atleast too risky to do so not only because like he already mentioned it would interfere with the land/ocean and pollute more CO2 but also how much fuel stations do you want to build? Transportation of fuel would be pretty hard unless you put like pipes everywhere under the sea even also don-t expect people to non stop drive in tunnels cause eventually they will need to rest somewhere and what if an accident happens! How long will it take for emergency services to get there you don-t expect them to stay there 24/7? Maintenance of the road will be another problem too and everywhere would be border controls needed so people don-t illegally cross the border

I like this. I am pretty sure you'd have to stop and rest in places, hope there is fuel, or charges somewhere, and you could hang out in countries. I am sure they thought of that. Yeah, it would be pretty expensive and not every place would be welcoming though. Some would be dangerous and since a few African countries facing war, famine, proxy wars, civil wars, rival factions and all that. Your car would be seized, or the Colombians doing something sneaky. Nice idea, but A to Z would be full of adventure, and hopefully there won't be police at the boarders to check your cars. Yeah, it would take you months to get around the world, since there will be plenty of things to see and do.

Once found a lamp with a genie in it, a cheap one so he said I could just make one wish, so I said well I would really love to travel to Hawaii but I am affraid of flying so a highway from Erupe to Hawaii would be nice, he said come one think of the concrete, the logistics and the sheer enormity of your wish, you have to wish for something more realistic, so I said OK i want you to make me handsome and irresistible to women, so he asked you want a two-lane or fourlane highway?

Cool, if the vehicles use Hydrogen cells and the sea tunnel were made of glass with metal support it would be quite the experience! If these roads were in use there would be many future cities lining it because of the high occupation and that would make for and interesting route. And unless the road was fitted with solar panels producing the light and coral coating the lower half of the road in ocean regions, Im not sure how we can avoid the interruption of nature

It'd be cooler if the walls of the tunnels were transparent, but then again you would see nothing but what your car's headlights light up during a night. I guess brightness a day depends on how deep the tunnels are constructed at. And I'm sure the sunrise would look magnificent at first, but too dazzling after an hour or so if your drive is east bound.

How to refuel our car when we are travelling in underwater highway for days, plus we cannot install a fuel plant in highway, even if we install a light weight plant inside underwater highway, then how to transport fuel to that plant? For that we need Vechicle which needs fuel
reply

Earthquakes, rough seas, submarines, maintenance, accidents, emergencies. it would never work. Some parts of the ocean are as big as countries, they would need allot of rest stops and eatery that would require food to be floated in on ships and barges. Logistical nightmare.

oh ppl, do not do this. never. world is beautiful as it is. we are destroying it everyday. it is enough, i guess. we should change the world into the better place, not that worse. anyway, no hate, i love your videos, really interesting!

What would happen to a person if one walked on foot all the way around the world? And how long would that take? What would happen if outter space were white and not black? Or another color?
reply

If they were to build those highways man you talking about you need a oil change and tire rotation maintenance will be ridiculous about time you get back home be time for maintenance lol
reply

Oh noo, i wouldn't go in such long tunnels. Flying cars are better. And what if you're in one of those tunnels and a fire broke out in an accident? You have no change to escape.

U dun need to build a bridge around earth. just connect all country with bridge. in other word. link all country together so that able to drive to any country.

5: 31 You actually spend 16 days and 16 hours because: 16 days = 384 hours + 16 hours = 400 hours. So you spend 16 days and 16 hours on the road

9. 2 Trillion USD wouldn-t be much of a problem for the US economy i believe, since the US has more than 20 trillion USD nominal.

Don't you just love that things that could save us or help us a lot never get done because we stop ourselves with green tree paper

In the underwater tunels they would have to make stops cuz cars would run out of gas and people would also want to sleep

Wait so I just travelled to South America to see some capybaras and then traveling back to north america

There should be houses and shops around the roads then. The navigation thing would have too many places.
