Toe nails grow faster then you say. Mine are growing really fast. And i bite my finger nails ever since i had my first teeths. It's hard to grab something flat and hard from the floor, but since the euro it's easier because they are much thicker than a Dutch national coin before (altough i hate those thick coins. But sometimes i manage it, just trying to do my very best. And f not, you can use some adhesive tape. Don't tape it on the ground or flat area's like a wall or on a board, then it sometimes become hard to get it off.
But, the more you have not long nails enough, the more you get used to it. I don't know any better than that: . I can live without too long nails, since i bite my nails since i was a little boy.
And if we had no nails, then we wouldn't have infections of dirt, because in place of that it would be covered by skin. There wouldn't be open places at all, so there is nothing to worry about dirt in that case.

I don't have any fingernails at all. I had to have them permanently removed 15 year's ago. There is so much you struggle with no a day to day basis. But for me it was the best thing i had done.

The fact that there are so many nerves below the fingernails is the reason it hurts so much when you lose them, to the point that ripping fingernails away was/is a form of torture, right?

I was cutting a tomato, then i accidentaly nearly cut my finger but my suprise my nail blocked it luckily. Good thing we have nails.
