And a million times more terrifying. Jupiter looks like a beautiful ball of swirling clouds, but on the inside, it's a gaseous hell. But what if things took a different turn for the king of the Solar System? What if Jupiter wasn't a gas giant at all? What if, instead, it was a rock giant?

If Jupiter were a rocky planet, the density would be insanely high as enormous pressure builds at the core, further compressing the core and thus requiring more mass just to maintain the same size as the actual Jupiter. Earth would likely be pulled further from the sun and same with Mars. Saturn might lose many of its furthest moons due to Jupiter capturing them.

On the other sight. If Jupiter had a rock surface. At momentum As logick commitment. Human still can leave, or evolutional for. Only Jupiter are to big for leave for evoqualite equalizer places that. can not being exhuming with. All the human from Adam untill now, only 48 percent fullfill the entirely planet. Because Jupiter is to massive -

A rocky planet the size of Jupiter would have such a hot core it might be a lava world; too hot to even have a crust. Or maybe even crush the electron shells of atoms, collapsing into something like a white dwarf.

When I was a kid I thought Jupiter-s surface was covered in mud with some small rocky islands sticking out. Though it has a tiny rocky core, but it-s mostly an atmosphere made up of gas.
reply

They always say its a gas giant and has no surface. However, what about its history with asteroids and so on hitting it could that not possibly start to create a solid surface.

I would like to see the same with Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. I would also like to see What If the terrestrial planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars were gas planets

What if we nuke Jupiter?
Will hydrogen and helium make that explosion more dangerous
Can we have a second son in our solar system?

reply

would be an interesting simulation to run in Universe Sandbox. Making Jupiter rocky but retaining the size and then trying to make it habitable
reply

How long would it take to pump all the gas out of Jupiter what if you make hollow biosphere have gravity around edge and core is star?

Most of the Videos that you guys used from NASA/JPL were videos that I made. if you guys need any more videos like that please let me know. :)

What if Saturn was a rocky planet?
The artist's impressions of the cloud tops on Cassini's reentry, made it look like a desert world.

That seems contradictory, why would Super-Earth Jupiter-s life need to be enormous to compensate for the high gravity? And 147th comment.

What if Dragon Ball z planet Namek and planet Vegeta were real planets with alien life like the namekian and the sayians

If we define the -surface- of Jupiter is where the atmosphere pressure is exactly the same here like Earth, can you - float- on it?
reply

I don't know if you did this yet, but What If Albert Einstein didn't exist? Feel free to give me credit for the idea, haha!
reply

This is such an interesting concept! It's amazing to think about how Jupiter has the potential to become a rocky planet

Jupiter is basically an unborn star. Kind of an interesting thought but I doubt any rocky planets are that size.
reply

Since we can jump at 0. 3 feet in the air on Jupiter, it's safe to say that we can definitely walk on Jupiter
reply

I don't think that's logical unless we make Jupiter a super earth. It's too big to be a rocky planet. d
reply

Can you do Saturn Uranus and Neptune next? Cause it would be cool to see how you guys make the surface
