Its so funny when u begin to play the level examples and instantly your whole body language changes. When you look in the camera I can really see you are so much into music. Like you r in -music-mode- and your mind expands and its like you are in another dimension. You stated at the beginning how possibilities in music composition are endless and all with just 12 different pitches. I think thats what you are feeling in -music-mode- and what im seeing by your body language. I think thats really cool because its what i experience too. Many ppl give up learning to play an instrument early on but for me it was always like I couldnt get enough of it. Its so fascinating how simple notes are and playing piano is just pressing down on keys which is really simple but the mental aspect feels like freedom to me. Really like a world of unlimited possibilities and I think the only requirement to use these possibilities is to just do it.
Like level 1. Just one finger. Super simple. I think thats music. Others seem to have some kind of opinion like -you have to be able to do this n that before u are making good music. - often. I never think so. I think whats -good music- is so subjective. If a person is happy playing piano just with 1 finger then its perfect. Because i think music is just about feelings. So if somebody just uses 1 finger maybe they just like it because its so simple and their life is not simple. So with music they have the freedom to have simplicity in their life and its a creation by them. If ppl feel good in whatever way the make music I think then its good music.
I really dont like this kind of competitive vibes and technical demands and judgements ppl have so often when I read comments here. Like those classical music -experts- that know perfectly how everything should sound. Well thats what they say. Quite harsh sometimes with a bit of arrogance. Then I wonder if they even have reached Level 1 yet. The part about having fun and doing something just for oneself for feeling good. And since i have some partial finger amputations its so ridiculous to me how ppl are so insanely opinionated about -proper technique-. By this definition i can never have -proper technique- since i cant use my fingers like others that have all of them. So in conclusion it would mean I can never make good music by that standard.
Thats just ridiculous. People arent aware not everybody has a perfectly functioning body. So I just laugh about such thinking. Because its so limited. Like so limited tunnelvision people dont even think that maybe not everyone has all fingers or abilities to move hands agile and so on. But music composition is endless and u can do anything u want, right? Its the opposite of those limited mindsets people have. Its definitly a very restricted perception if people arent even aware how limited they are thinking. So im doubtful they are great musicians. Like they dont even understand the simplest core of why music is so awesome.
Well
Peace to you!

Watched this video when it came out and just enjoyed the music and didnt understand anything. After starting playing the piano myself i rewatched it and was like yeah i understand a little now and can even play like level 1-3 myself NICE! Now after a year playing the piano i really understand the complexity behind it, i still cant just play it but with a lot of practice some higher levels should be possible. Lets see where the journey takes me next year: )

OMG! I have played piano for decades but after seeing this video, I have to ask is a piano the square box thing with black and white sticks on it in my living room? Wow! You are awesome and super talented! You make it look so easy, too! Music theory aside, I was just amazed at how her fingers flowed like water across the keyboard!

I-ve been stuck on a song I made at 10yrs old. Built it up until I was 15 and couldn-t make it more complex after that. I am now 22 and haven-t created any new progress. This video made me realize not only am I stuck at the 6-7 stage.
Thank you for this video now I know where to improve

Well said. There are lot of techniques, and genres arise with these. However, you forgot about time signature. It is main recipe for complexity of songs. And many don't mess with this aspect of music. Especially popular music.

This is the most amazing breakdown and buildup of of a piano piece I've ever watched. For what it's worth, levels 5-7 sounded most beautiful to me. Beyond that, is was very technically impressive but lost in my unsophisticated ears.

Nahre Sol consistently shows flashes of brilliance as a composer and pianist. We can only hope her potential achievements do not become prey items devoured by social media fame and fortune.
Certainly the choice is hers.

This really opened my eyes to the fact I need a teacher. I've been playing by ear creating my own music for 20 years but there's still so much that I just haven't learned or spent the time to understand. Thanks so much!

I am currently trying to compose a song, because I have so many melodies in head and maybe something like a vision -.
Anyways I've already wrote some notes down and yeah (I'm mean for both hands of course)

level 17
multi-interval sequences of different structures, which must be played in all keys, where harmony consists of mirror polyaccords and various variations of cadences.
that's what a superbrain is for
