ghost are memories. they are only visible to the degree to which the person is -posessed- by it. if you lose a loved one you are likely very posessed by them as they are a big part of your universe. they will much more often still play a role in your universe/mind/reality than in others.
But that is only the strong, immediate -posessions-. Because everyone affects everyone and we have always and will always be the universe. we never truly is born/dies, we just change form.
That aside collective contionusness, history, culture etc. are how individuals who we dont remember clearly still -posses- us all.
So yes, dinosauers and neaderthals also have ghosts, and they are becomming stronger now than they have for a long while, or at least they become -clearer- as we learn more about them even though we have never lost our subcontious knowledge of their part in the grand play of life. Similar to how you remember yourself as a kid even though you are not those cells anymore, not 100% anyways.

i'm supposed to be studying for me TEAS tomorrow but instead i'm watching this series. i love learning about pretty much everything they've featured and all of the experts are so great-- maybe i just have bad luck or maybe i just effect people horribly but usually when i ask e. g. doctors things they tend to be really condescending, and it's just so wholesome, refreshing, and inspiring to see all of you guys explaining things with so much verve and kindness. it's accepting and welcoming-- i don't feel judged or condescended to, you all are just sharing your knowledge in the sweetest, most accessible way. thank you, to everyone involved in these.

-Whether a crime scene is haunted. I've never seen that. I've investigated over 2, 000 crime scenes - most scenes were someone died of a violent nature - and I've yet to see a ghost or an apparition. -
I think I love this man - The power of suggestion is too strong for some people who are DETERMINED to believe in the supernatural. And of course when you try to give them logic, you're in -denial- or that your mind is -hopelessly mundane- -

So in paleontology you WILL often find a paleontologist licking something. The reason being that a rock will feel smoother whereas if you think you have bone fragment and you lick it, your tongue actually sticks to it a bit. (Think a cats tongue licking a blanket. So I believe that's what the show Bones was referencing. Again, not sure an anthropologist or archeologist would do this with possible human remains.

When people talk about the smell of death it's always the decomp smell. Think of roadkill on a hot day kind of smell. But most people don't know the smell of death before decomp really starts. It's very subtle, most people can't smell it, some can. It makes you queasy but not in a roadkill I'm gonna hurl kind of way. For the people who can, once it's smelled, it's never forgotten. :(

One pet peeve I have in media is the fingerprint they pulled is literally The fingerprint they apparently have on file, like shown at 18: 12. All they need to do is make a model of what the supposed full perfect fingerprint is, and then make alterations on that in two unique but still identifiable ways. I don't know why it irks me so much but it does

My brother in law was a criminalist for more than 32 years. He often had to testify in court about evidence he had collected & analyzed. A defense attorney once challenged him. - Is this type of test an exact science? - asked the attorney. - The only exact science is hindsight- was his response. The judge didn-t find it funny.

I love NCIS, Criminal Minds and CSI: Miami.
The computer matching DiNozzo's bite mark was cool even though fake.
Of course they embellish or fudge the forensics.
That's why it's called crime fiction.
Suspending disbelief for an hour.

Oddly concerning to me that he is so familiar with the blood trail left by dragging a body. I know he has a lot of experience and its not that unrealistic for someone to do that, but it feels weird to me that someone is used to bloody dragmarks.

-I have investigated over two thousand crime scenes. Most scenes were people died of a violent nature. --
People thank veterans for their service, well I would thank this guy for his service. How he has not lost his mind is my question.
