The human mind cannot grasp the concept of infinity no matter how many circles we go around it and it's unlikely to change. We will always live in our finite bubble of what we can observe and wonder what is beyond.
That is my humble opinion, but feel free to prove me wrong.

I wish she was my math teacher! I followed until the grad student, there I was a bit lost but in the end with the expert, I kind of circled back. I think with these theoretical concepts it feels like that there must be something else besides humans in this universe. Facinating!

She is so good at explaining this topic. I bet she's a good teacher.
Also this whole video series is genius because you are introducing complex topics to the masses in a way that they can understand and digest. Love this, keep it up Wired!

Would love to see more math videos! applied areas like differential equations, Topology etc. would be great and there are many excellent doctorates and people in the field who can get people excited and would make a great video!

Is the definition of a bijection not that there exists a function that is both one-to-one AND onto? that's how I learned it in University if I remember it correctly but she never mentions the onto aspect

She communicates complex concepts so clearly with no filler sounds, clearly thinking at top speed the whole time. I'm no fan of mathematics, but somehow I'm feeling an interest through her passion

This is literally why we are the dumbest nation how about we teach kids what actually matters, and not magical numbers that literally never stop existing. I swear, we are an idiot nation.

Can you remember a time you did not exist? You have experienced no beginning and no end we have experienced no beginning and no end (yet. We are living a form of infinity.

The video is totally butchered by the presenter with this army haircut and these Leprechaun boots. The look is just spooky - 'uncanny valley' style.

I blacked out at the college level and awoke 3 hours later screaming, with an infinite amount of puppies licking my face. I don't feel right.

Loved this, and that undergrad is incredibly sharp! Emily's explanation of those proofs were very clear.
More 5 levels of math please

They're talking about serious topics and all you can think about is pronouns and clothes? Grow up and try to learn something new
