Garrosh was a dictator who clearly segregated and seperated the horde from within. It is in Garrosh's time as warchief when Lor'themar considered joining back the Alliance because of Garrosh. Had Jaina not gone nuts and purged Dalaran of the Sunreavers, the blood elves would have probably joined back the Alliance.
The Horde created in Warcraft 3 by Cairne, Thrall and Sen'jin/Vol'jin was a Union forged by the fact that all these races were Outsiders in their respected regions before joining in together. The orcs of Thrall were imprisoned by the Humans, the Trolls were imprisoned by the Naga and the Tauren were overrun by the Centaurs. Similarly the Forsaken were seen as nothing but mindless zombies by their once allies in the Alliance, so they joined the Horde.
Garrosh thought of the Orcs as better than the other races. He failed to see the basic values and experiences all races of the Horde shared.
It really is fun to watch people somehow trying to legitimise Garrosh's actions in the comments.

Garrosh was like Orgrimm. He was a realist and a conqueror. This is the most real and mature character in wow. -
He was not a dreamlike idealist who wanted to dance by the fire and enjoy the peace. -
Now that I am older I can see that Vol'jin was the traitor who kept provoking him. -
The Horde people were starving in the desert. What were they supposed to do? The Alliance also took land and waged war. And harvesting wood resources was associated with the elves. -
Just see how long it took the trolls to reflect their islands. They are weak savages. -
In Garrosh's day, we had the most powerful horde. In the days of Vol'jin, the weakest in history. She couldn't even hold the legion back while the Alliance was giving. Maybe if they were using Garrosh's armor and technology instead of Vodoo, they would have done it. -
And Vol'jin's best choice as his new leader. -
Sylvanas. the worst chieftain ever. -
He's the only one who thinks the horde is nothing.

I think that Vol-jin would've made a great warchief, he wasn't soft like Thrall but he wasn't blood thirsty like Garrosh. It's just so many orc purist cried that a troll was placed in command of the horde, that Blizzard got scared and entirely removed Vol-jin out of WOD aside of the cinematic where he makes us general, then kills him as soon as they can in Legion. Then they make him name e-girl Sylvanis warchief due to being manipulated by the jailer or one of his lieutenants. At least they started treating him right now that he's not front and center.
Goes to show just how much the whiny brats of this game have power over the development because Blizzard is to scared to lose out on the brats parents money. That and Blizzard doesn't actually want to have to think about making the story good too. Customer is always right, right?

Look at where the Horde's troops are, in the temple of the red crane! One of the most important religious sites in Pandaria! Garrosh saw that continent as nothing more than buffet that existed only to sate for his own hunger for power.
Garrosh is just like the rest of the Horde, zero principles, if it benefits the Horde it's worth doing, even if the world burns, nothing but bloodthirsty savages.

Hiya Folks! This video is dedicated to the dynamic between Vol-jin & Garrosh. Ever since Cata, I-ve always wanted to see a Vol-jin vs. Garrosh fight, given the buildup.
Instead of Thrall doing his cheaty cheaty shaman mojo during a Mak-gora. Garrosh still remains the best Warchief ever.
Would-ve loved to see reason & logic become his character development over expansions since he showed such capability twice back in Cata. RIP Papa Garry.

At first i think Garrosh is a crazy warmonger, but then i realized Garrosh is Realist within the Horde, he didn't want his Horde starved to death in the middle of desert, he just want Horde is always ready for war.
But in other hand, Vol'jin is a wise horde but primitive with his troll culture.
I always respect both of them, but prefer to Garrosh the way of thinking.

I hate when they make NPCs, specifically important characters in lore, waaaay bigger than both the player and the average size of their race. Here it shows Vol-jin like 3x the size of a male Forsaken, while in the Legion intro cinematic, it shows Sylvanas carrying Vol-jin after he was stabbed, and they were legit pretty much the same size -

MOP just needed an endboss. Now the horde is just worst of burning cities and using chemical warfare. Least garrosh had the descency not to raise a former combatant. He's everything a warchief should be. He was never given a true chance.

yeah i mean we chose the hord for what is savages orc who looks for war and fights but blizzard reflected our world moral of the game when it shouldn't this is why wow become boring and faction is just diffrent race with no unique theme

Thrall should have chosen Baine as warchief. He was good and wise, peaceful yet strong. Everyone respected him, even Garrosh himself despite his attitude toward him.
