Right off the bat, the bit about what God could allow. I am going through my own hell with my wife having Alzheimer’s at a young age, she was 50 when this started and it 58 now, and so many other awful tragedies almost every day in my life, but God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good. The ways of God are beyond us, He is after all playing an eternal game stretching into the billions of years, and we are passing smoked in the winds of time. He is preparing His own for eternity, and we will one day be thankful even for the pain and sorrow, if we hold fast. As it says, and so now do I, Though He slay me, yet will I serve Him.

I love the simplistic but thrilling approach of story telling here, the author paints a picture and keeps us pulled in. I’m not easily entertained enough to stay focused on a story and I finished book 1 here in two nights before bed, My son listened with me and is really into it as well!

What’s going on with the voice I listened to this last night with no issues. Today every 20 seconds it’s skipping words. Just goes silent for couple seconds then continues. I was really enjoying the story. Any ideas how to correct it I tried reinforcing it, didn’t work.

I always wonder about the dogs. In this situation, there's absolutely no chance I wouldn't have found them dog food. Just off the highway, there are plenty of places. Cut open a ton of bags, prop open the door. I just can't help but wonder if things would have been different.

This book gives me a strong Red Dawn vibe, but reimagined. I think some stories deserve to be told in several guises. And this is one of them. Kudos to you Scott Medbury. Thank you for sharing your art with the World.

Absolutely love this!
But one small issue, USA has nukes
And there is really no way china would be able to disable even half of them fast enough
Not to mantion they almost never come out

This and Smartermerica by Scott Porter (sucks he pulled it down for revisions I thought it was perfect. Eh) are the best modern post-apocalyptic stories. This is awesome stuff.

You know the writer is an extreme dog lover. They wasted an extra ( Extremely valuable) shotgun shell to put it out of its misery
And they got a blanket to cover up its body.

While well written and exciting, it also brings up real world dangers, like race specific bioweapons for one example.

Sometimes when I don’t want to do something I pretend their is a Chinese soldier with a heavy accent telling me to do it and then it gets done. ;)
