This book has 86 pages in the PDF version, and was originally published in 1896.

This is the best librivox reading I've heard. I am very picky about voices and I love this topic and the talent and quality of the reading. I'm not going so far as to believe in Atlantis. But I know that truth and wisdom is passed to us through stories. And those stories don't necessarily have to have happened to be based on true ideas and to gift us with beauty and inspiration.
Anyway it makes me happy and I like falling asleep to it, and for that I thank you.

Atlantis is where Elon Musk is from, probably Taylor Swift also. All ancient documents found that mention Atlantis have been hidden away so no one will look for it. It still exists under the ice and is a flourishing civilization. Every now and then an Atlantean makes their way to us and is at the top of their field. They look similar but their intelligence is far superior. Possibly getting their heritage from Alpha Centari.

1: 09: 24 it was the Toltec race who developed the highest civilization and organized the most powerful empire of any of the Atlantean peoples then divided into kingdoms constantly at war with each other and many of the tribes being reduced to slavery 1 million years ago.
I heard a while ago that the name Atlantean refers to the slave race.

It’s not the accent that’s the problem, it’s the lack of expression in her reading. It sounds like someone unfamiliar with the language & is reading by rote, syllable by syllable. It makes it difficult to listen to.

I am not a native speaker and yet, for some wonderful reason I can understand everything, speed, narrative style and all. But, thank you for saying that its too fast. You do realize you can edit the speed, right Thanks: )

She speaks pretty good English (United Kingdom, better than most Americans, however the speed at which she reads and where she puts emphasis on the words makes it difficult to listen to.
