-Yes, there have been ET visitations. There have been crashed craft. There have been material and bodies recovered. There has been a certain amount of reverse engineering that has allowed some of these craft, or some components, to be duplicated. And there is some group of people that may or may not be associated with government at this point that have this knowledge. They have been attempting to conceal this knowledge. People in high level government have very little, if any, valid information about this. I doubt I'll get a response but there's this one alien movie that I barely remember watching as a kid. I really only remember two scenes though. I believe it follows a group of ordinary soldiers amidst an alien invasion and in one scene there's this group of really cool looking aliens on top of a skyscraper. One alien looks like a floating black rectangle with lots of weird tentacles beneath it. At the end of the movie, I think they board the alien mother ship and one of the main characters turns into a giant monster thing for some reason. I'm not sure if anyone else remembers this movie though.

The lack of Invasion of the Body Snatchers was an oversight to say the least. Ohhh I get it. A USA film where the USA are absorbed into the great fungal communist mega state. One of them was not even an invasion film per se, it was a bunch of xeno tourists attempting to communicate with primitive beings. Us. Where was Skyline? At least we have Mr Cruise who realised that victory would not come cheap & probably involve a gargantuan amount of luck. At least spared L Ron Hubbard. Amen

if only someone could make a movie for the -war of the worlds- inspired books -the tripods- omg those are the best science fiction books I've ever read.
the 3 main books are the aftermath of the invasion(the prequal book is 100% not needed for these 3 books, you don't even need the prequal book to make the 3 main books make sense)
the prequal book is the invasion so if someone wants to make an invasion style movie for -the tripods- they can just make it off the prequal book.

It's been 7 years since I've last seen this movie, does anybody know a movie where aliens invade a family's home and the family had to cover windows and doors with planks? They ended up hiding in the basement and sadly none of them survived. If I remember correctly-

I agree with all, especially They Live (such 80's gold, but The Darkest Hour should be on here too. Brilliant, original, and with some proper tense, scary parts. Going to have to give these all a rewatch.
