Most annoying thing that is very specific is, that in a lot of games when you stop running the stamina regeneration is delayed! That is the dumbest mechanic that always leads my minaxing brain to completely deplete the stamina and then regen it all the way up to not lose time on a long road. And then you can't really enjoy the game just staring at the stamina bar. Bro there is way too many games where this is a thing.

The freeze mechanic when climbing the mountain in ghost of Tsushima was not only AGGRAVATING because of how hard it was to see but completely pointless because once you're done climbing the mountain the mechanic disappears entirely so why did they have it to begin with
Haven't played Yotei yet but I hope they didn't bring it back.

The old Mafia-race was NOT hard, IF you put on some secondary keyboard-controls to make the wheels instantly turn which they dont do on primary.
Rubber-banding absolutly sucks though, but there are better examples

I hate games that lock u out of game content like star wars jedi survivor if u dont talk to an npc while doing the story like in my case u never talked to bo before he get taken off my the board at the end

Kingdom Come Deliverance does walk and talk cut scenes right imo.
You're on a horse that travels with the other horses, and it's used sparingly to fill the time between locations in story missions.

Tuto pop-up when you fighting or running.
Playing Ac Mirage and the pop up tutorials was such a pain in ass.
Well any tutorials like this sucks but ac mirage is my recent exemple.

What's even worse about walk and talk is that the NPC usually doesn't match your walking speed so you constantly have to stop or walk back to them, completely breaking any immersion.

I wish FromSoft would go and add the Mimic tear to all of their old games. Not even for difficulty purposes, as you can summon. But because its such a cool mechanic!

10 victories that were that much sweeter because the person you just whooped was actually sat RIGHT NEXT to you split screen style baby! Ahhhh, those were the days.

Not exactly a mechanic but i can't stand excessive crafting and item management.
I don't want to spend my time in a menu managing too many skill trees, items etc

I thought rubber banding was a lag thing in both FPS and racing games, where you desync with the server and then snap do a different location when you get trued up

in every video they mention people saying they are not seeing videos pop up on their homepage but if you look at the comments nobody is saying this

What's wild is that Fallout 5 had the movement speed when following someone fixed, the Starfield removed that. It's the worst.

In short, they should take out rubber banding in racing games and transfer them over to escort missions/portions of other games
