Meh, the white princess and white queen seem a bit to much on the woke side to me. Not complaining about it being about a princess and then being queen but then they went over the edge to being woke with it portraying all the other power brokers being female. The second movie about Queen Elizabeth 1 was about a female monarch with actress Cate Blanchett as queen Elizabeth was great without being woke. I can tolerate embellishment but I can-t tolerate shoehorning a woke agenda into a historically based movie.

After finishing the last kingdom, no other show of that tone has managed to compel me the way Uhtred's journey did. It is one of the most underrated shows ever and deserves more popularity! From story lines to character arcs to the pace and tone of the show. Everything keeps you on the edge of your seat and before you know it, you're either bawling your eyes out or preparing to go to war. Absolutely love the show with my whole heart and would definitely watch it all over again!

The last kingdom surpasses all of the others, by so much tat it is not just astonishing but criminal that The Vikings is rated ahead of it. The Vikings was so inaccurate in its portrayal of norse culture, and so historically flawed that I couldn't get through more than about 4 episodes.

The funny thing is we're the descendants of most of these historical figures. If you have any European ancestry, you're a direct descendant of William the Conqueror. If you're of Asian ancestry, there's a good chance you're a descendant of Genghis Kahn. Pretty awesome.

The Hollow Crown is an absolute masterpiece with a complete who's who of British acting greats. Benedict Cumberbatch as Richard III was a complete masterclass of a performance, how he was not lauded with awards is beyond me

Absolutely love both The Last Kingdom and Vikings. So im not surprised they're the top two! I stopped watching Marco Polo as it got cancelled. So didn't see a point to continue watching, also really enjoyed Knightfall.

The Last Kingdom is great. I would also throw in -The Tutors- but it could be classified as more Renaissance period rather than Medieval I suppose. As it follows King Henry VIII's reign of England.

Viking is worthy on this list, but only the first 4 Seasons, the Last Kingdom is just as good, but maintains consistency above Vikings. Medici I enjoyed too, but it's not really medieval.

The Borgias, with Jeremy Irons, Francois Arnaud and Holliday Grainger was phenomenal. Vikings was a spectacular show and it looks like I'll have to give The Last Kingdom another try!
