I became a pie today, and it s a good life. Rushati: I LOVE how this episode centred on culinary experiences from immigrants from parts of the world whose cuisine we don't usually hear about! The part where the woman from Brazil said, We make it differently here than in Brazil because here, you have the privilege to buy one certain kind of meat' - I got chills. What a wonderful acknowledgement of how resourceful people are when there is no access to luxury!

Yep, when I heard the Australian pie fact I was like snort, us kiwi's be eating more than that, pies are our Thing- and then it was confirmed! Also, kiwifruit is not the reason we are called kiwi's, it is the kiwi- bird. BUT kiwifruit was originally called chinese gooseberry and sellers changed the name to appeal more to our population.

would you guys ever do a tofu episode. maybe a way of introducing a vegetarian diet to people who want to start but have no idea how. also finding vegetarian restaurants/dishes that isn't just steamed broccoli on a plate is hard and maybe tofu is a better meat substitute than buying frozen impossible meat pattys

For you Steven. when a cat comes up to you and rolls onto its back it is exposing its stomach to you as a huge sign of trust. they're giving you access to thier vitals (throat and stomach) because they trust you won't harm them. its one of the biggest signs you can get that a cat loves you very much!

fun fact abt the cat thing at 4: 25 abt the drop thingy, it means they actually trust you. when cats show their belly to someone means they trust you because their tummy is kinda like a sensitive/secretive spot for them or something. I have 17 cats. soooyeaaa. Love you show xx

That wine looked so good! I've been into making mulled wine recipes at home and they are awesome for the holidays. I want to see if I can try a passionfruit wine recipe, that sounds like an amazing New Years drink with a little champagne.

Was a little disappointed at first that they didn t do Jamaican beef patties or something for the first option but after watching the first section Im glad they didn t, else I d probably have never even heard of panades tbh

Brazilian chicken pot pie is actually called empada in the country. Seeing the chef talk about it made me so emotional! Its truly a joy and a privilege to live in such a diverse country with a close connection to the kitchen.

I don t have a wide range of experience with savory pies, but I have the Trader Joe s Steak and Stout pies for lunch like, once a week. Needs to be baked longer than the package says but 10/10 would recommend

I was gonna riot if there was no empanadas. But it s so fun to see how many different cultures make empanadas and how they interpret them. I m Puerto Rican so it usually has some olives in them
