Nope, I really like Ryan Gosling and love James Garner, but that casting did not work for me at all. The much better fit was James Marsden to James Garner and the author could have changed the story to an even deeper example of love if Marsden’s character understood that Noah was her first love and selflessly allowed her to believe it.
