The Reason Thanos Made This Face When Captain America Held Him Back
video description
2. You show SEVERAL shots of the soul stone on the gauntlet and Captain America is NEVER touching it. Ever.
3. Though I love Infinity War and End Game - it is incredibly inconsistent with peoples power levels. Thanos with ONE stone mops the floor with the Hulk and Thor. But with FOUR has trouble against Iron Man, Doctor Strange and company. Then in Endgame he seems EVEN STRONGER with ZERO stones.
Instead of coming up with theories to justify it. Can we call it what it really was. a mistake.

I don-t get it. Nothing about captain America would shock the made Titan we are talking about a being who goes around killing with no remorse a being who has seen it all. What has Steve been through that would shock him none of the things that was stated here makes sense from a perspective of a being who would go around the universe and slaughter half of its populations and snap his finger wiping out almost all life. Does any of this stuff makes sense. Thanos is a psychopath and everything that-s been said here are human emotions witch this guy don-t have. It just makes no sense.

You got to remember that Steve wielded the hammer. Thanos couldn't do that. He tried to use it against Thor as Thor was holding it. I believe it is something more like Steve was gaining control of the gauntlet and Thanos felt it that's why he struck him with the other hand. Steve's power came from the power Stone. So why would he not have some control over it seeing as how it is part of him. That's the only thing that really makes sense. Captain marvel probably tapped into the space Stone and that's why he ripped the power Stone out and hit her with it. I mean think about it.

Maybe the connection to the souls stone to Steve is something like thanos- and tony-s connection where he said: -ur not the only one cursed with knowledge-
Maybe he did see what was coming later for him when he died on his farm planet
Or even got the bigger picture when caps on the mission returning the stones
Given that each stone is a substantial power itself and there is a timestone would mean that the soul stone knows nothing like time or it-s effects can-t be affected by the power of time

I don't know. I don't really see it like that. I see Thanos looking at Cap like, -Bro. What are you doing? - because Cap gives every single bit of strength has to stop basically a left jab from Thanos. And yeah, looking into his soul, Thanos can see that Steve will absolutely fight even though he knows he will most definitely loose. And then, after this bizarre moment of reflection, Thanos tosses aside the every bit of strength Steve could muster up as if Steve were a helpless infant.

If you look at all the beings who fought Thanos in Infinity War and Endgame, and held their own for a bit: Hulk, Cap, Stark, Thor, all of them survived the snap. Now, it may be coincidence, but I think Thanos respected those four and the fight they put up. It could also be that while Thanos respected those four for their ability to fight him, it is also possible he wanted then to live so they'd have to live with the fact that despite how hard they fought, they still lost.

I read another theory that pointed out that the stones respon to the strength of will of the wielder. Obviously we all know how strong Cap's will is, so what if, in this moment, when he came in to contact with the gauntlet and the stones, just for a moment, his will was strong enough to overcome Thanos' and the stones responded to him, allowing him the strength to hold back an attack from Thanos, someone strong enough to wreck the Hulk without breaking a sweat?

I like to think that Thanos was reacting to feeling the wavering allegiance of the Soul Stone - the stone probably picked up on Cap's pure soul and how much he's had to sacrifice and I think Thanos could tell that this Steve Rogers was more than meets the eye - also with his other hand being on the finger with the Power Stone its possible that the same kind of thing happened, Thanos could feel that Captain America is strong enough to wield the Power Stone

That look of surprise was probably from Cap's life story, but that other look (anger) was because Cap's will was stronger than his. Cap was able to take some of the power away from him, even though Cap wasn't the one wearing the gauntlet. That's the only way, even a -peak human-, could possibly equal the mad titan.
These guys are constantly punching above their weight class. Except the Hulk, Thor, Ironman and now Captain Marvel

Negative. he seen the struggle cap has endured his entire life, Thanos paused and simply didn't try to overpower cap with the hand, Thanos felt cap was still insignificant which is where the look came from, Thanos then KO cap. if anymore was involved with this fight as in they rolled around more your theory would be correct but this was simply one and done. You have your version, I see it for what it is.
