The fact that the movie opens with him talking to that girl with the same time displayed on the clock as the clock in the insane asylum makes me think that he started making a story and hallucinating while talking to the insane asylum girl, which is why at the end he is laughing and the whole thing was in his head

I thought I saw an homage to the apes scene in -2001: A Space Odyssey- in the riot scene toward the end. The rioters, particularly the guy with the club who's moving from left to right across the screen in the front of the crowd. The leap the way the apes did when they discovered the use of sticks as weapons.

I found the Heath Ledger easter egg in Joker 2019. In the ending, when joker was dancing on the top of the car, I saw a bar on his back and it says, -ACE IN THE HOLE-, and that's the quote of Heath in the ending of The Dark Knight

I believe that he was biological son of Penny and Thomas but Thomas falsificated the papers making everyone believe that Arthur was adopted. His attitude and relation to the child made Penny loose her mind.
