Really enjoyed that! Superb cast. Amazing how invested we, the audience, can get in so short a time.
It can be a challenge to set the dystopian context of a future society but here it was done stylishly.
No idea what tune the first guy was humming, but I think it might've been helpful to introduce the Bolero with a scene to illustrate its significance to father and daughter, since I'm not sure how many young people nowadays would know and recognise the tune, so how come a child in this brave new world does
The action was really well choreographed and the fight scenes looked fantastic. The twist at the end was very effective.

I love dystopian sci-fi and this was a good one. I like Orwell (a lot) and critiques about Bentham's Panopticon, and this was a beautiful marriage of both.
But it never ceases to amaze me how everyone thinks that the OTHER guy is the Orwellian one, and NEVER themselves. Everyone imagines themselves as the insurgent, and never the evil fascist in the uniform.
Alas. The real world isn't quite as simple as the dystopian parody of it, and more often than not, authoritarianism can look oh so innocent and humane, much to the ruin of humanity

Wow! The best I’ve seen yet on these SciFi shorts! The storytelling is very coherent, with an emotionally striking beginning leading to an avenging heroine who ousts her father’s murderer. Many of these shorts become so ambiguous that it becomes more of a tiring puzzle than entertainment! The actors deliver such a compelling performance as to engage the audience directly into their world! Love the Bolero theme which masterfully articulates the plot!

The real problem with this one is that the essential premise of Bolero - a theme insistently building to a crescendo - is never used. The name is simply attached, for no particular reason, to the movie.

This is one of my all time Dust favorites. It is so sharp and classy. I love the bad guy. And the heroine is so intense. The ASL adds a great nuance. Thank you. Wish this was 2 hours long.
