In a near-future world, where individuals have their memories downloaded for backup, a man awakes in a body that is not his own. Restoration by Tony Gibson More About Restoration: In the near future, a company offers individuals the service of having their memories downloaded for backup. So, in the event of death, those memories can be uploaded into a new body. After a routine backup, Oliver Klein wakes to find his memories restored into a body that is not his own. Trapped in a foreign body with its own 'muscle memory', Oliver discovers that he is capable of doing things the original Oliver never could and never would. Oliver must find a way to reconnect with his family and his life, while coming face-to-face with the truth that he is no longer the only Oliver Klein

I love science fiction, especially reading it.
Stephen king however is the true master of short stories. The challenge being that every word must count, you can't afford any waste whatsoever. Stephen has wrote many long books, but when push comes to shove its the invariably constraints that a short story provides he truly loves.
I imagine it's the same in movies, most being 90-120 minutes long. But something like the twilight zone, you had 30 ish minutes to condense a movie or story to its bare bones.
I've read many trilogy's and more and love them all but the true art is in creating more in less words.

So cops just don't exist in this universe It would have taken longer to get a search warrant and a legal phone trace than it would have to find the murderer. Even four days after the murder, when they upload his memories into a new body the cops aren't there to ask questions Possible enemies and grievances, etc. Though, they likely would have already made at least two arrests already. One for murder, and one for pseudo murder by replacing someones consciousness.

Amazing series / movie, thank you for sharing! Great acting and plot. I've missed a bit of showing what happened with Gavin, although I guess things went as planned. otherwise there would be a cut that shows the guy waking up and having some memories of Mr. Klein: D
Camera work, angles, coloring, mood, music, sound effects: all top and lets the watcher immerse in the experience!

Let me get this straight, Oliver Klein has his original consciousness switched into a different body, Gavin Worth. Worth kills the original body of Klein. The company downloaded backup copy of Klein's memories and personality into new cloned body It's totally weirdest thing ever conceived.
reply

That's truly an bizarre concept. That your consciousness can be downloaded into a new Clone body. In essence virtual immortality. But, is that same individual or genetic copy Think of the ethical and social issues. And of course, only that one percent will be able to afford it.
reply

Excellent. Great concept. The thing I found most disturbing was the notion that an entire life with its cumulative memories and experiences could be overwritten and in his monomaniacal self-obsession, Oliver didn’t give a flying fig about poor old Mr Worth ceasing to exist.
reply

This makes no sense as to why the company is injecting back up people into replacement bodies and setting them free or making multiple recreated people when the original is still alive with their family and life. Not making sense to get worried or stressed.
reply

Well done. So, why did the boss pay the nurse to change the bodies It was 10k to do it, but then they had 'real' Oliver and 'fake' Oliver both running around. They didn't go to 'fake' Oliver with any kind of job or deal or anything I don't see the point.

I wonder if the roles were reversed and it was the husband seeing his revived wife come back from the dead what the reaction would be With the husband notice the difference in smell Would the husband's first reaction be fear or gratitude

Loved it but I don’t understand- WHY did the tech put him in the other guys body (Other than she was paid to do it) Did they know he would eventually force her to merge back into himself Did they want a more aggressive guy

An excellent production. The twist only got to me in the last scene. Then I thought back to rescuing the girl, and what her mother said. Great storyline, cinematography and acting by the cast.

A great story. All of it was really good & believable. Just wish it did not have the colorful metaphors in the dialogue like (F. It distracts from the moment. Otherwise it was sensational!
reply

Very interesting and well done. The only thing I don't get is the envelope with the money that Emma got. If it was all scripted, why the rest of it
reply

It's not an original Arnold Schwarzenegger did that same thing with it's similar it's not a new idea at all it's almost a copy

They always make movies about what they have planned for the future, My guess is they already have this capability.
reply

The cheap version of soul transmission technologie. :) But yeah, that will be a huge problem for the future.
reply

Someone please explain it to me. I don't fully understand it and some people are good at explaining movies.
reply

Shorts get the point and focus on the story. Great stories is what I care about not the special effects.
reply

That's the best one I've seen in a while. It was long enough to really tell a full story.
reply

Awesome! Although I find the ending. Well. I don't really like it. But the plot is amazing
reply

Wow! Fantastic. I can’t get over how great these short movies are. Thanks Australia!
reply

I don't understand the piano thing at the end. What I'm I supposed to conclude
reply

Great job. Great concept. Also, glad to see Aussie's fighting it out old school.
reply

Please explain. What was with the jerry not being able to pee standing up.
reply

Only a loser would do that. A winner would ask, how can we make more of us
reply

Meanwhile Emma just out here mixing ppl's brains up like she's making gumbo.

The guy in the grey suit was originally in the 'Neighbours' soap in the 1980's.
reply

Yet another crazy messed up film had to watch it twice still not 100%
reply

Reminds me of altered carbon with the new body being a nicotine addict
reply

Well. This one sure has generated some interesting dialogue.
reply

The right title for this should have been muscle memory.
reply

It was the original Klien that just wanted to learn to play the piano
