Video game companies are seriously greedy... but wait until you hear about companies that make medical devices... my company makes various orthopedic implants, like hip, knee, shoulder replacements, etc. We sell our products for pretty reasonable prices (anywhere from about $60/each to $1000/each depending on the complexity of the manufacturing process), but the companies for which we make them turn around and sell them for 10 - 30 times that price after just sterilizing them and putting them in branded packaging. I'm purposefully avoiding using any company names, but one in particular, a huge American multinational medical device company, buys one kind of modular hip system for about $800, sterilizes it and laser engraves a unique number on it, then sells it to hospitals for about $30,000, and the hospitals sell it to insurance companies for $60,000. $60k for about $1000 worth of work and materials!

In Australia, the standard price of a AAA game is $100. Meaning that if my estimates are correct and the overall price of games does increase by $10 In the US, that-s a $20 - $25 price increase. That-s $125 presuming that the overall prices of games has been raised. On the Sony website, I remember the DualShock 4 controllers were $100 and the new AAA releases Sony was selling on their website proved those games at $110. Again; this is Australia I-m talking about with regards to the prices. Also, if your game is 10% more expensive then the controller you actually use to play that specific game, then Sony is way overcharging their game prices.

The reason of increasing game price is that when devs make a game with a specific budget, the create the next one with more budget so that they could always keep along the quality of game of that time. But the budget limit is coming to an end with $60 so the only way to keep things going is increasing the budget else the video games market will crash or we will see no improvement in games. Even if you think they sould put more time into games then forget it, its gonna cost even higher

I don-t see why anyone in the US is complaining. I-m in Canada, and ever since they changed from Xbox 360 to XB1/ PS4 games went from $69.99 to $79.99. It-s always been $80 here for the longest time. And now that the Series X/ PS5 are coming out I noticed the Series X and PS5 games will be $89.99 for us, after tax that-s about $95-97 for a game in Canada. Which I find absurd. Wish games were only $60 again... good old days.

I-ve called 2k the devil for a while now. If you still are supporting you deserve to get screwed over every.single.time. I-m fine with them charging 4x the price for their sheeple. Hopefully actual gamers will not be for it, then again cyberpunk level games are kinda worth more money.

2K is seriously crazy if they think people will pay $70 for a game unless they are cutting WAAAAAYYYYY down on microtransactions!! If they want to charge $70/game then I agree that all cosmetics, microtransactions, and DLC need to be included with the base game at $70!!!

Prices could not rise because if there-s a free upgrade to games you get in ps4 than in ps5 they shouldn-t charge you extra for having it in the next gen. The only thing that would do that is EA and they-re garbage connection to online servers and micro transactions.

I buy most of my games digitally, but I'm not looking forward to game prices rising. I do miss the days of buying a game for a single price and no extra stuff that has to be paid for separately.

I didn't even know wall running was a thing. I've been doing my best to avoid all news regarding Cyberpunk other than the release date so I don't spoil anything. So......no big loss to me.

If the prices go up, then they need to be providing more content. Longer campaigns. Two player story modes. Replay-ability. Quicker load screens. Quicker downloads. And better graphics
