Waaaay too many souls-likes. It feels like, the studios have turned their heads towards the genre in the same way, they did with the BR-genre a little while back, or even the whole thing, where everything has to have an open-world element to it. I for one would really like to see more original gameplay-mechanics and ideas, cause the whole Souls-thing is kinda outdated for me now. Albeit, there are some really, really good games, both out there and in the works, but when a genre gets too much exposure, it just becomes a blur between the great and the meh. That's just my opinion though. :)
I am excited for Wolverine though, even if they just turn the Spidey-formula into a Wolverine-game, I love the character enough to just enjoy playing as him. We'll see how it turns out. :)

Alone in the Dark? Didn't recent attempts to reboot the series end up poorly? I think Alone in the Dark is the first 3D survival horror. It came out before Resident Evil did.
I don't really see anything that I'm that excited for. I do have Hogwarts Legacy. I may pick up certain games if they are really good. I may pick up the Assassin's Creed game if it goes on sale.
I'm looking forward to Rise of the Ronin which is unfortunately not coming out until next year.

As for the isometric view in the new Alien Game I like the idea.
I do think that it would better be served as a Diablo IV expansion.
The Alien species has slowly spread throughout the Universe in that story line.
Why not in the Diablo World also?
Maybe Blizzard can work in the creatures from the Pitch Black and Riddick universe.
I would love some licensed expansions for Diablo IV world.

so I'm a bit torn back and forth with silent hill 2. like with re4 I think it is unnecessary, but. if this means we might finally be getting some new silent hill stuff. like that silent hill f game that is looking sooooo good: D then I'm all for it

Um no fallen order was incredibly halfassed. The climactic end to made no sense. Sense when is water vaders kryptonite? Man needs a respirator and has robot legs. Read a comic or book and he s just as effective in water as out. That s not even the only reason the story sucked it was just the one I couldn t overlook.

I will just be happy when they stop making games for consoles that are 10 years old, it holds back gaming in so many ways. Gummy fighter 6 looks last gen. Somehow street fighter 5 looks better, those npcs look like ps3 era alone. Mk12 I have hope will show how good a fighting game can look on current gen hardware.

I didn't care for star wars dark souls. The whole draw of that genre is coming up with a build and weapons and seeing how far it can take you. That's hard to do with a lightsaber and no real RPG mechanics. Also it doesn't feel right when a storm trooper can pose a threat to a Jedi

There is so many games on this list that I'm waiting for, and some that are already released. Unfortunately gaming is very expensive now (over 100 Canadian now) RE4, Dead Space, Spiderman 2, FF7 remake 2. But Final Fantasy 16 is my most anticipated game this year.

people (me) still play last of us remastered mo to this day and there s often new players, not just vets that will wreck newer people. especially since the show airing i ve noticed a lot of people have come back/started. can t wait for factions!

good games but its weird to see Street Fights on PS4 and not Xbox One and ithink the Square at some point will hit a wall with that FF numbers and seens Spiderman 2 would be September or around that time i can't see them releasing Wolverine this year

Failed to include Trails into Reverie. Dunno how you can make a top 25 PS games for the year and not include that game. We've waited 3 years for the game, it's gonna be insane with just how many characters they're throwing into it.
