Remnant 2 - Before You Buy Romnys: I'm currently finishing the 1st one with my friends since 2 is coming out, we decided to give it a try and have so fun as excuse to get 2 if we like 1.
The gameplay is really damn fun. Wish it got more variety of worlds and builds. You got like 7 builds and nothing else. The melee and short range weapons like Shotgun's are mostly trash and i'm glad they open up with more effects, relics, builds and paths but the game is overall pretty damn fun. The gunplay is pretty good. The best way to describe is as A REALLY FUN ENJOYABLE And full of replayability game. The studio did a great job with IP

To answer your questions jake! Im getting it on ps5 my gripe with the first one is that it wasn't cross play. The reasons that a small issue is due to some a few of my friends play on pc and my pc is cheeks (i build it in 2015.
However i had a Blast with the first one i had a lot of fun with it. I felt coop was more challenging with friends but i LOVED IT it forced cooperation and idk it just worked really well. I didnt put as many hours into it as a lot of fans of the game but itll always remain as a really fond memory which is why the second is a must buy. It one of my favorite games that can be coop the enemies were nice too ill never forget getting a axe thrown at my face.
There just isnt any games out there that has a coop op story that you can play through nowadays anyway. especially one that has replayablity and difficulty. In third person. its niche and it also good too!

Man, no offense Gameranx / full offense gaming industry, but this is one of the few ByB vids I saw the thumbnail for and was legitimately interested in
First Remnant was pretty decent, def felt like a 1st entry to a series. I hope they pulled off some fleshing out for this one, would be awesome. Beat the first one, not a boast I just don't follow through to completion on games often, so that sticks out to me as having something going right to keep me engaged, despite the flaws I could feel while playing.
On to the video!
Merci Gameranx crew, for all the content and effort over the years. MUCH RESPECT!

exactly what I feel in the 1st game. enemies feels like they spawn behind, boss feels BS most of the time, and it age so fast.
but I think its because, I played it alone (also this review. Boss feels BS cause often times they expect you to do 3 or 4 things at the same time. which is easily solve if you play with others. also the enemies from behind also solve with co-op and it also more fun if played co-op, it'll age slower.
its just, they didnt balance the game for solo players and expect everyone to have some people to play with them. and its sad to know that its still the case on this sequel.

Accurate description of the story in Remnant games; basically sufficient, but definitely minimal, and that's by design. Combat is what makes these games fun, and the coop is awesome. I've been playing From the Ashes for several years now and it's been so much fun that I broke my own rule (never pre-order, cyberpunk and outriders taught me this) and pre-ordered Remnant 2 so I could play it early. I'm looking forward to hitting this one tomorrow, Gunfire Games really is an awesome studio and they create some visually stunning worlds.

The first Remnant was a ton of fun. I'm still playing it now even though I have most everything. Really excited to play this one.
The first game has its bugs and issues, but overall the game play, lore, and world building was top notch. My biggest gripe with From the Ashes was how bad the ending was. Like. probably the worst ending in a game like that. It's one thing if a bad game has a bad ending. But for a good game it's just amplified for how bad it was. Hoping this game has good story and a better ending.

The only thing that I did not like from the first one, even though it was not a big turn off anyway, is that boss fight where difficulty mainly due to the spam spawn of enemies in the field (except for maybe one or two bosses that where legitimately difficult, I am glad to hear that they heard the feedback and tone this aspect down a bit. Still the first one was a dam good game, and I am sure that this one will be too. Also kudos to the devs for releasing a game that cost 50 rather than 70+.

Remnant from the ashes was a hidden gem to my friend group. We sank multiple hundreds of hours into it. Remnant 2 is just going to take that extreme fun and make it. extremelyer. The only gripe I see so far is no appearance only armor slots. I love the look of some and itd be nice to have the option of having that look, no matter what you're wearing. Maybe we'll get it down the line since armor no linger shows what build youre going with in coop

I played the first remnant, but it never really got me hooked. The whole loot stuff just isnt really my thing. Great Video, as most of the time anyway, thanks for all the hardwork.
P. S. if you could make a video of hunt: showdown at some point, it would be really great. For me and my friends its by far the best Shooter and quite underappreciated. It's not a new Game, it got a pretty big content addition though.

Remnant from the ashes felt like a love letter to gamers. It truly felt like the devs made the game for fun rather than money. It was one of the few games where i bought the dlc to support the devs rather than serve my own gamer needs. Gunfire games had lightning in a bottle with the first one and Im so pumped that they are seemingly giving us a beefed up version of what i already adored.

A big aspect is the procedural generation. Instead of just reorganizing things randomly like most games, the realms actually have multiple map bases on them so things feel fresh. Sometimes you're in the slums in a realm, other times you're in the palace area, there are also multiple stories in each realm so you get a different overall experience every time. It's pretty interesting actually.

I really enjoyed Remnant I. I really enjoyed how alternate methods of defeating bosses gave different rewards. The same goes for certain side quests. I do hope that the RNG is tweaked some. Having to re-roll worlds because I need an amulet or ring for a build that only appears in specific situations on specific maps was more tedious than necessary.

Listening to the description of Remnant II, it does sound pretty close to the first one. Currently playing Outriders, it feels like the same coop concept but with a little bit more content. I'm enjoying my time at Outriders with a friend and probably going to jump on this after we finish/platine. Didn't get from the video, but how many can join in coop?

I put nearly 350 hours into Remnant from the ashes I love that game and Keep coming back to it. I am so excited for this sequel. I pre-ordered it and can't wait to play It. It looks way better than the first one. I highly recommend it because the first one was amazing. And this one looks To expand On what the first one did.

My favourite things about the previous game I wanna see in the new game:
- the perk that reduces damage from allies that you unlock through getting shot too much
- the unclean one (weak points must remain his butt and boobs)
- the crossbow that has an alt fire that immediately knocks everything it hits over

Loved the first Remnant! Got it from Epic game store last year for free and put in weeks and hours playing it co-op with my cousin, who like me, is also a mid-20s dude with no free time. These days I rarely ever play anything long-term, and that speaks to how fun this series is! I'm definitely copping Remnant 2!

i appreciate this video as it is helping to inform my purchasing decision. I only have one question -- Can i turn off that horrendous, horrible, decade-old motion-blur that I see in this video? That's literally a deal breaker for me. Thanks again for the video!

I don t like souls like games typically. And maybe it s just the time that my friends and I put into the first one. But this game made such amazing memories of bonding late into the night trying to defeat a boss that has killed you easily 50 times.

Aslong as it has that solid base of fighting and difficulty i dont mind the story i played the first one with friends all the way and maaan it was awesome so i cant wait to play it with my friends again i will burn it to ashes no pun intended
reply

The reviews I've watched for this game never seem interested in actually talking about the difficulty in regards to whether there is enemy/world scaling. That's a pretty important point that no one seems interested in talking about.
