As a robocop fan, the robocop game was pretty cool, till midway through, the story god old after a while just kept going on for no reason, you get there and oh no the bad guy got away ok, second encounter oh no he got away again but way was he really the bad guy maybe this other guy is oops the other guys wasn't ghr bad guy and the bad guy got away again not to mention the random psychological horror sections in there, and then they kept throwing loooooooooong ass dialogue sections your way nonstop at the end when aall you wanted is to get to it, if they've tightened the experience a bit more it would've been perfect

South Of Midnight has less than1, 500 players playing it, why is this on the list of games that spoiled us when it's not only new and no one cares for it yet you boast it knowing it's a Sweet Baby Inc game. The same company that forced DEI down our throats while threatening their employees to publishers to push their nonsense or they will cancel you. The same Company and CEO that puts down men for enjoying women being attractive yet the CEO herself has admitted to being ATTRACTED TO BOWSER. Let that Sink in.

Lies of P was awesome. 2023 was a great year for gaming in general. Here are a couple other brilliant AA titles from that year: Remnant II, a very unique soulslike with 3rd person shooter combat, a pseudo roguelike system, and awesome bosses; Everspace 2, an RPG-lite with very unique combat where you control a spaceship, some neat visuals and an almost Diablo-like loot system; and the legendary Hi-Fi Rush, a rhythm battler which looks and sounds like a Saturday morning cartoon.

I would play South of Midnight, in fact I would love to. If it was on PS5. It seems like it would really benefit from the increased audience of a multi-platform release but here we are.
I guess the reason Indiana Jones and Outer Worlds get multiplat treatment is because they’ll give a guaranteed return on investment, but it feels ridiculous that those games get it and games like SoM and Clockwork Revolution don’t.

The EDF series is a fascinating case. Starting as a low-budget PS2 game, it's grown into a long-running franchise with many spin-offs, yet it's struggled to gain widespread recognition outside of Japan. Western remakes haven't quite captured the magic. However, I think a major upgrade in visuals and overall polish could transform it into a global phenomenon, similar to Monster Hunter or the Souls games

First Berzerker was really good, but so much of the boss difficulty was derived from giving them massive health pools. Personally, I would rather go up against a more difficult moveset.
Also, I was pushing twenty crashes by the time I finished it on PS5. Including one a split second after I put the finishing hit on a boss I had been battling for almost 2 hours. Talk about rage inducing.

Ok, so I'm convinced that someone at Gameranx is either a dev or getting paid to promote Banishers Ghost of new eden. You guys have talked that boring game up in at least 1 video a month for a year. It's just ok, and the story drags.
I really expected ya'll to give a spot for the lords of the fallen v1. 07, it's been updated to an amazing game.

buncha 3pv action games. The only real AA's I saw was Alien Dark Descent and maybe that kids horror game. Copying the AAA studios gameplay (they're mostly 3pv action these days) on a lower budget doesn't make an AA game, it makes the developers look like hacks. No idea why these games are so popular if playing one is pretty much the same as most of the market regardless of the money spent.

Hrm, this video made me not want to buy First Berserker even more. Im not good at Soulslike games even though I enjoy the style. I also get tired of bashing my head against a wall after awhile. I did play the demo and got stuck on Blade Phantom fight for AWHILE, then had to go do shit and really never got back to it cause I barely got 2nd phase on it.

AAA is about budget and price, not scope and feel. If a game is $60 or $70 then it ain't AA. Having just beaten Dynasty Warriors Origins, calling it AA is insane. Does it look worse than other AAA games Yeah, but that's because there's a million enemies on screen and the game is simulating the entire battle in the background. $70 ain't AA, no way.

Maybe you never saw this one, but, the one game I want someone make a reboot, remaster, remake or take the idea, is revolt a RC cars game with power ups like mario kart, but the power ups are like, fireworks, buble gum, water balloon, oil trap. is from nearly 2004 or so, maybe an indigame or not. I can't recall. but had fun, too much fun.

for space marine 2 i could say the co op PVE update is way better than anyone thougt even tho the dev is not really fast updating or giving content but its preety understandable, we got cosmetics, new monsters, new weapon now. its trully classic indeed just coop with friends and killing the enemies for the emperor

I can't believe you didn't mention Remnant II. This is certainly one of the best AA games ever. Packed with secrets within secrets, satisfying souls-like combat with guns and melee, lots of bosses. It's overall, a very cool game that expands the first and it also has three excellent DLC to extend it even further.

I am so happy you all included Robocop Rogue City. This game along with it's prefecessor Terminator Resistance made me so happy. In a time where remakes andvreboots sucks ass the game developers behind these two genuinely care about honoring the IP and understand what made those furst movies so good!

It's been two years already, but I am still very much enthralled with SIFU. Solid combat mechanics with a Dodge that makes more sense than dashing away from enemies, beautiful sparsely told story, and best of all a replay editor that you can make your own little action films with.

I was introduced to EDF series a few weeks ago with EDF 5 and wow that game blew my mind. It is just so much fun once you get into it. It shows that games don't need to be so serious and don't need to have very large budgets. What really matters is that it is fun and entertaining.

I'm embarrassed to say I have only heard of ONE game in this list, and played none of them. To me, that is a lot for a list about spoiling players. (The one I've heard of is Lies of P. Kind of depressing to realize how much gaming fun I will inevitably miss out on.

I have been playing South of Midnight for about 3 hours now and was honestly ready to quit out of a feeling of meh, but, your video has renewed my interest. You say the game picks up and gets pretty good. Ok. Guess I'll see and I will blame you, Jake, if I don't like it.

LIES OF PIE i bought it still couldnt play it but as a harcore fun of bloodborne: we waited for an interesting twist on pinochio, we got that, but even more we got WOODBORNE. yeah. gepetto, he is clearly not becoming a real boy. HE IS THE PERFECT MACHINE.

Lol South of Midnight barely gets a nod and didn't get a BYB despite being one of the most unique and interesting looking games of the past decade with some truly stunning art.
