Nintendo. I have interest in some of their games. I loved them as a child growing up. But im not buying an entire handheld console just to access their game catalog. I put enough money into my PC and its games. So all I ask of Nintendo is stop being a dick to other devs that make similar games to their own that are fun but not on a Nintendo platform. Weird I know that I dont feel like spending hundreds to thousands of dollars more on another game platform that I have to update about as often as my few thousand dollar PC with my Steam library closing in on 200 games. Maybe if Nintendo just. iunno. sold their games on Steam I'd buy em. I do understand that would require a lot more dev time for them. Making a game compatible with the varying hardware on the market probably takes a bit, but um, indie devs do it So a giant like Nintendo could as well if they want to sell more game copies to others like myself.
Marathon sounds like they just gonna wing it and hope whatever shit they threw at the fan sticks instead of flying out the window.
Assassin Creed Shadows. Did it really out sell EVERYTHING for its first 3 weeks of release Im skeptical about that. It and Schedule 1 came out around the same time and I distinctly remember looking at SteamDB and seeing signs that Schedule 1 out performed it. I will give Shadows a tiny leeway due to price point difference and the fact that Ubisoft has been terrible recently with just about everything they have done but. A factual statement saying it outsold every other video game during its first 3 weeks of release sounds. horrifically incorrect.

I am very excited about an Oblivion remaster/remake. I’ve been playing games since early childhood but RPGs were not my thing up until I tried Skyrim. I know that me saying that would bother quite a few but that was my entryway into the genre and I completely fell in love with the world and getting lost on fun quest I randomly stumbled upon by exploring. It was a new way to experience games for me. And then I learned about Oblivion/Morrowind and their loyal fans singing their praise but I frankly just can’t get through the jank of older games and I do find them ugly (I’m sorry, pls don’t take it personal and attack me because it matters to me) so a remaster/remake is my opportunity to finally experience it. It is eliminating the one thing holding me back and I really am missing the immersion of a game world right now, it’s the perfect timing.

i like FNV but i'm a F3 lover. that sounds weird, but my point stands. if they mess up the remake/remaster i will be pissed. i don't want Oblivion catastrophe. whereas original Oblivion has vivid colours and looks fantastical, the remake/remaster looks washed out and way too similar to other open world games. if they go the opposite with F3, instead of gloomy, destroyed, radioactive, depressing world and change it into vibrant and F4-eske look they'll ruin the F3 vibe. so i'm really anxious about them remaking/remastering F3. no excitement at all, just fear and doubt they can pull it off.

I've personally found the console version of AC: Shadows was more buggy than the PC launch, when I discussed this with some friends. (Xbox user here) I've had sound glitches, stuck on terrain issues, which a fast travel fixed. Numerous game crashes to be sent back to the xbox dashboard, had to double, triple and even quadruple assassinate NPCs because the prior attempts didn't register, especially when they are sleeping.
Still I enjoyed it overall and the stealth felt like a great upgrade compared to previous titles.

As a Bungie fan since Halo 1 who played every game and every Destiny vanilla release and expansion, thousands of hours, I have no hype for Marathon since they turned it into an extraction shooter. I didn't really have much before, but I planned to check it out. Now, not even planning to do that. None of my homies are hyped for it. May be Bungies fatal flaw. Would be sad to see them perish under Sony after a good career with Microsoft. Like so many Emmitt Smiths.

Kinda annoyed actually that AC shadows is doing well, all music feels off (like you got modernish songs with the old games but now this much) and characters in that era japan make no sense, I just feel like there needs to be a new studio for this series by now or we need AC-likes.
That tweet is also really specific with how well shadows is doing, like the best selling video game in the US for each of its 3 weeks, idk man but that seems like puffery to me xD

I javent paid for ps plus in about 2 or 3 years now, its so expensive and the 2 free games a month doesnt interest me, i hardly ever played them anyways! A online game like marathon would have to be good enough to convince me to 1: but it
2: spend my precious time to play it over a long period of time.
3: spend the 120 on psplus again
I this playstation should have a way cheaper teir that is online access only

I really wished people wouldn't have bought that Ubisoft slop and watched them fail because now they got big heads again all of a sudden and again made another bold statement that we should become accustomed to the idea of not owning our games. Thank you to all those gamers out there supporting this scummy company in their continuation of spitting in your face.

I think those that played morrowind before oblivion was released, before we knew the graphics could be better, or voiced dialogue morrowind was the goat. But I think oblivion is a great choice to start with a remake.
fallout 3 though meh, fallout new Vegas offered so much more content and rpg elements that made dallout 3 obsolete to me pretty quickly

Your raw honesty about how you fel about any particular videogame is why we watch. Reviews here feel authentic. Thats what gamers want. Aunthenticity. Not corporate panderers. We're not always gonna agree, nor will we always disagree, but that's how True (Strong) Human Bonds are Built! Happy 4/20 weekend guys!

Ha ha, when you said Oblivion is right around the corner. But seriously, I get the color palette concerns. Sort of the opposite thing, but I just started Fallout 76 after over 700 hours in Fallout 4 over the years, and the world of 76 seems overly bright and cheery in comparison to 4 or New Vegas.

Doing a second Playthrough on AC Shadows at the moment.
It's good to see some people recognize their hate was biased. Most people that still trash it haven't played and will never do, they are locked in a loop of hating it just because they already said so. Good to see you are not one of those.

Fallout 3 holds that special place in my heart as well. I’ve not been able to emulate the feeling of walking out of the vault and the sun blaring and then the world opening up like it did for me. A feeling of nostalgia that I can never replaceand then everything that came after.

The biggest thing about mario kart being $80 is
The last mario kart game came out in 2017, with a $25 dollar dlc 5 years later.
$80 for what is going to be THE definitive mario kart for the next what. 8 years Hurts in the short term, will still be good in the long term.

I was pretty excited about Marathon because Bungie is so good at making FPSes that feel good to play and have really interesting lore, but I never had time to really get into Destiny and I'm not going to have time to get into another online-only live service game.

3: 00 Fallout 3 has a special spot in my heart it was my first Fallout before I got addicted. I actually gave up on it at first and I found out about repairing is when I finally got into it and finished the game. With all the Bethesda jank, it is still a fun game

Thansk for being straight honest and fair about your impressions on Marathon. So far, I've only watched videos of content creators that were bought the ticket to go to the preview event and they could only say favorable and positive things about this game.
