DEAD SPACE Gameplay Walkthrough Part 1 FULL GAME
video description
Idea is that you're trapped on a space station and has to perform maintenence on stuff everywhere to unlock new areas, equipment and abilities and to survive, and it might randomly need repairs due to degradation, so you have to run back and forth to keep it going (but as you progress, you might find a few helper drones that can keep it going longer, as you -unlock- more and more utilities)
Enemies should be strong and respawning and ammo scarcity should make you rely more on the envioment, stealth and be more careful with your shooting.
The map could be made random (cells put together randomly, but still with some patern, so each playthrough isn't the same route.
When it comes to -horror games with shooting- I like it when you don't have tons of ammo, so you can't just run-and-gun, but has to think -do I sneak, run or fight? -
I think -Alien Isolation- did it okay.
The -utilities- that you repair, is first of all oxygen system, so you can breathe, but also electricity, but you have limited power, so you need to route it, can't use all systems at the same time, fx. you might give power to the doors, so they open automaticly, if you don't, you have to pry them open every time you want to go through, lights (should be self explanatory) and almost everything needing electricity, then there's also security, repairing it will help making the area safer, but when it malfunctions, it will target everything, making the area dangerous for everything.
The main challenge should be to survive as long as possible and repair as much as possible.

Origin keeps crashing when I bring the lobster claw thing through the last shutter. Tried reinstalling the game, reinstalled older and newer NVidia drivers. Tried this game on windows 11 pro 64bit and the problem there is when i aim with toggle, issac auto walks forward, can only reverse him but can't stop him unless i stop aiming, same issue for the other aiming option too. Short of ordering a windows 7 pro copy and installing that, i cant beat this. Thanks for recording and posting your completion.

This opening scene did something I think nobody else ever noticed: it gave legitimate reason for large windows on bridges while having a practical solution. Big windows so they can see where they're going if there is interference with cameras, though usually they can leave the windows up anyway and just enjoy the view, but it has armor plates that can swiftly close if needed and reverts to cameras. They even, I think, had a debate over whether to use the cameras or the windows.

Graphically and gameplay wise this game is still fantastic for what-s it-s worth. Watching it back I-m annoyed at how much of a send and fix game it was in terms of Isaac basically fixing the whole ship on Kendra and Hammond-s behalf to make it operational. But it-s still fun in a sense considering how powered up Isaac becomes Vs his enemies. Anyone notice the hallmark horror trope of mixing chemicals to make an antidote of some kind? It-s in all the horror games it seems --

Replaying this and noticing the little boxes on the floor you step on for an item inside. resemble Xbox 360's. Thinking Sony paid EA for that Easter Egg!
This games looks and plays very well. Replaying it since the new one came out. Why pay more, since I already own all three. Will buy it in the future though and 2 and 3 if they remake those as well.

Rewatching this after watching the remake, I'm realizing how not-at-all Isaac spoke. He was just someone to talk at and give orders to. I really like they did that differently in the remake. Made him someone with agency who had ideas and was an actual engineer who didn't need his hand held. Really fleshed out who he was beyond the written back story.

I love that in Dead Space the crew clocks a bunch of serious red flags when docking with the Ishimura, yet for some reason they just leave the door to their space ship wide open, so that when Issac comes back to the ship it's gone to hell. that's like parking your car at a sketchy truck stop and just leaving every door wide open with the keys inside.

Deep space is probably the best sci-fi franchise game behind Mass effect. I remember playing this the first time. I was playing at night while it was raining and I was home alone. it makes the game better in my view but deep space wanted to are really good games

I couldn't finish Dead Space 1 but I finished the second however I almost had a heart attack loooool bloody hell. One of my friends convinced me to play it but this game shacked the very core of me looool I am not into these kind of games. lol

Got this game just cause i liked the cover and heard it was a good game cause of the remake so i bought it from a retro game store for 10 bucks for the 360 and all i want to say is i was not expecting it to jump scare me multiple times

Even as a kid I loved the foreshadowing of the Pregnants with the anatomy posters in the room after the Lurker intro. It also made me super uncomfortable with seeing all the baby fetuses around in the containment tubes.

I played this game 160 times and the first 50 playthroughs i didn't know I could see the characters face if i moved the camera around. I just assumed it was fixed until they told you to get up.
