I've just got back into FF7 after being a fanboy since I played it on my PS1 many years ago, and holy shit! The remake captures the badassery that I saw when I was a young boy, but now it's just that badass! Nostalgia helps me appreciate it, but I'm sure even people new to the series would fall in love with how amazing the FF7 remake turned out!

I think they revealed Sephiroth too early. in the original game, you don't see what Sephiroth looks like until 6 or 7 hours in. You hear people talk about him often, which builds the suspense. I didn't like their choice to reveal him after mako reactor 1

It's so strange seeing Midgar in anything other than dark and smoggy night, it almost seems more. real that way; instead of simply being a dystopian fortress of industry, it's a living breathing city.

The only ff game I ever beat. It came out at a perfect time at the beginning of a pandemic and I was cut down to 20 hours a week. Anxious times but also had plenty of idle time to beat a masterpiece
