My question is why is the revenant Nightwolf the same guy as the new Nightwolf? Shouldn't revenant Nightwolf be a different guy completely? Because he is the one from MK9 and it's been said that this Nightwolf is a new guy that was chosen by the Matoka. So why isn't he a different guy?

You can tell Fujin was very hesitant to let Shang Tsung kill Nightwolf, a person who doesn-t really deserve to live versus a victim who didn-t choose to be evil and could be saved, making a choice like that must suck, but is worth it to save the realms and timeline.

I like to believe that Shang Tsung allowed himself to be hit by nightwolf to absorb his soul, it would have definately gone in his favour having that power by portraying his frail older self managed to disguise it as an action for the 'greater cause'

Damn these are so good like real movies. It's extra cool how they got the actual actor, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, from the old 1995 Mortal Kombat movie to do Shang Tsung voice-over. It's especially cool they made Shang Tsung in his image.

Sindel, Nightwolf and Lui Kang. The most powerful revenants and yet the first 2 are not used in the main game and Lui Kang never does that fire rope shit ever again despite it being able to take out 3 extremely strong people.

This is what I don't understand. If Shao Kahn breaks Lu Kang legs his revenant fells his pain but when Night Wolf soul was taken by Shang Tsung His normal self didn't felt a thing? Isn't this supposed to work both ways?

i despise the aftermath story! i thought the original story was great, so not only does aftermath pretty much ruin and undo everything from the good story, but it-s just plain awful, anyway!

Revenant Nightwolf would have died regardless. He was totally ready to kill his past self and sacrifice himself for Kronika's -New Era-. Shang did what he had to do.
