GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK Gameplay Walkthrough Part 7 FULL GAME [4K 60FPS PS5] - No Commentary John: GOD, the character writing for Freya is so good. Ever since the first game, her absolutely -fanatical- level of devotion to her son Baldur seems really strange. He's so emotionally stunted and traumatized that he wants her to die, and yet she still loves him so much that she's willing to just let him kill her, and swears an eternity of vengeance on Kratos for stopping him, even though in doing so he spared her life.
And then you get to Vanaheim. Kratos shares his story with her, and she in turn opens up to him. She reveals how she sacrificed so much of her life in a bid for peace between the Aesir and Vanir, years upon years spent married to one of the most petty, selfish, paranoid, and evil men in existence. Years spent living as a stranger in Asgard, married to a man she hated, with no friends of loved ones around, even eventually becoming spurned by the Vanir (the very people she married Odin to protect) after the birth of her son, because they considered her as being just another hated Aesir now. Years spent regretting that the last words she spoke to her twin brother Freyr, the person she loves most in the world, were ones full of fury and scorn, potentially never to be taken back.
And then she gives birth to Baldur. Her beautiful child, the one and only source of comfort in a harsh, painful, -lonely- world. She treasures him so much that she personally asks every single thing in existence (aside from Mistletoe) to promise never to harm him. Her love for him was so great that even as the years pass, and he becomes resentful of her for misguidedly forcing a hellish existence of pure numbness upon him, she -still- loves him. When Odin becomes so spiteful of her refusing to teach him Vanir magic that he banishes her from every realm except Midguard, Baldur becomes the only thing she has left. He's the only real reason she has to keep going.
And then the ending of the first game makes complete sense.

While I love solving terrain puzzles, I feel like this game's puzzles are less realistic than its 2018 predecessor. At some areas where you need some kind of crossing, you can simply go down to a non-hazardous area below (the area below is completely fine, it's just the game mechanic not allowing to do so. And also how Kratos' blades need a chain of sigils to reach things when in previous games the blades' chain can extend as long as a Titan's arm.

Freya talks about beating Kratos. We all know Kratos has a reservoir of power he holds back. If he actually released that rage again on someone like her she would be just dust blowing in the wind within moments.

I joked to myself about -the Witcher Freya- when she picked up the sword and I'll be damned if that wasn't a Whirl I heard/saw in the very next fight. They did well with this game 10/10 so far

Starting to sound like Freya and her brother were more than siblings ion know about y'all but I ain't drinking after my siblings out anything called the lovers chalice nah g

Freya saying she-d beat Kratos and believing it is beyond me, even after knowing he killed a whole pantheon of gods with powers far greater than that of asgards-. smh

MK misses so many of the ravens. It doesn't even seem like he is paying attention to the surroundings. If MK would just look up he would see so many of them.

1: 12: 17 Lunda hitting on Freya is great.
It's a good thing Freya is immortal considering all the times Kratos lets her take hits before stepping in.

Lunda sounds so much like Ellie from Borderlands. I wonder if it is the same voice actress. The same attitude and accent too, as well as hitting on women.

Can anyone explain what she saying every time she attack in the game, and what the meaning of the runes? Or it is all made up by the game developers?

I like how not only kratos and freyas relationship is on the mend. But freya is slowly starting to see that mimir has also changed for the better

25: 10 -i-m still not sure I totally get you, or what your deal is, but as long as you have her back, I-ll have yours. - True brother vibes -

Have you tried The Wrath of the Ancients on the Ancients? It's the easiest and quickest way to take them down. Wait for the opening.

It's a cool feat for Kratos to have different companions and be able to chose between them before an encounter or side quest

The counter attack of the shield is like assassins creed in the old days, if u get used to it no one will touch u

I love Brok, he seems to know what to say and how to say it to break the tension or alter a scene just right LOL

You're a terrible player. She says use a shield strike, but you still do useless and untimely attacks.
